🇰🇳 Happy National Heroes Day SKN! 🇰🇳
Earlier this year, GiftedHandsEventsSKN had the distinct honor of cordinating one of the 90th birthday celebrations for St. Kitts and Nevis’ first Prime Minister, National Hero Right Excellent Sir Kennedy Simmonds.
While the event itself was unforgettable, one detail left an indelible mark on our team: the display of Sir Kennedy’s favorite sayings/quotations. While Sir Ken had many wise and instructive quotes, one phrase in particular deeply resonated with us:
“Take life as you find it, not as you wish it.”
This quote offers a timeless, grounded wisdom. It doesn't ask for passive resignation, but rather invites radical acceptance, present awareness, and deep gratitude. It reminds us not to linger on regrets, past possibilities, or comparison, but to embrace where we are, appreciate what we have, and live life fully in the present moment.
Today, as we celebrate National Heroes Day, we extend our warmest wishes to our nation and pay tribute to our national heroes whose words and legacy continue to inspire us all. 🇰🇳
