feels pretty good to read that, we pride ourselves on our event production so it’s great to hear that it’s appreciated 😮

60 Road Fest #3 was a blast 💥

We’ve just made it back to Phnom Penh, and we are still buzzing from our weekend in Siem Reap. For a "new" band coming from out of town, the welcome we received from the local musicians and fans was nothing short of legendary.

We have some specific people we need to shout out for making these gigs a success:

🧼 Laundry Bar: Huge thanks to Sylvain for the top-tier sound and logistics. And a massive shout-out to the floor staff—Nich, Moa, Leap, and Thea—who worked tirelessly to keep everyone hydrated and the vibes high. You guys are the heart of the bar! Also thanks to Mr. Win for tech support, you know who you are!

🛣️ 60 Road Studios Fest #3: What a setup! Ian and Steve, thank you for the "life support" (food and cold drinks) and for giving us the best stage sound we’ve ever had. We've never had that many monitors! 😂

HEANG - សេងហៀង

An exceptionally talented traditional musician, Seng Heang ( សេងហៀង ) has mastered 10 local instruments. He opens 60 Road Fest with the support of Nÿ Lä Vä on percussion and will dazzle the audience with his world class skills.

Kampot Playboys

Kampot Playboys mix the traditional instrument - Khmer Tro - with Western grooves, which makes for a unique blend of Khmer-folk-rock. They are known for their energetic-live performances and their unique groove.

This eclectic band features 2 Cambodians (vocals & tro) and a British / Estonian rhythm section. They have worked closely with 60 Road Studios for many years, recording their debut album “GARUDA” and are excited to return to the studio for another performance!

Jõhatsu

Jōhatsu was formed in mid-2025 as a punk-rock inspired project between Jeefunk, Ronan, Mia and Kuzey, playing original music with influences from bands such as Fugazi, Black Flag, Hüsker Dü, Helmet, Refused, Snapcase and many more.

Jōhatsu was named after the Japanese phenomenon of people "evaporating" from their dissatisfactory lives, cutting off all contact with their families, friends and colleagues. Many foreigners come to Cambodia as Jōhatsu, escaping from a troubled past or just wanting to start anew, and the band thought that it was an apt name to represent who they are.

Phnom Penh's own Checkered Past Ska is bringing their infectious brand of ska to the 60 Road Fest. This 7-piece posse blasts a high-octane mix of Jamaican Ska, Two-Tone, Rocksteady, and Ska-Punk riddims guaranteed to fill any dance floor. Led by multilingual-vocalist Ariane and driven by a dynamic horn section, the band crafts a sound that’s both classic and current, with its mixture of original tunes and deep covers.
