TAOISM
Tao, in China,means the path or the way.That is the way of acting. Tao of heaven therefore means the way the universe works and Tao of man means ,the way man acts in harmony with the universe.
Tao is the ultimate reality and unity behind diversity of things.
Tao is that which man lives and in losing they die.
It states that the universe is like water which works in its own ways, which are soft and invisible hence has power.
It stresses on simplicity,and receptiveness without prejudice,and on humility,modesty and compassion. They believe that everything is God and God is everything.
Their deities range from simple human beings to super forces which can be demoted or promoted.
They believe in soft and invisible power within an individual and all things. This is the invisible potential. This is always represented with water due to its yielding nature. Water normally takes it's own course,volume and shape. Water is soft and weak but possess power which can move earth and curve stones. The universe works according to its own ways. The disharmony in the world is brought about by man trying to pursue his selfish goals. The will of man must be in harmony with the ways of the universe. That everything should be seen the way it is without prejudice.
The belief in immortality through great peace and simplicity gives great hope and controls behaviour.
This religion condemns violence.
The wicked are condemned and their descendants cursed.
In s*xuality the body is viewed as a positive asset and not a source of evil. That s*x should be practised with moderation and self control.
The Mind and the body is formed to work in unity/harmony.
That abstinence from s*x is as dangerous as excessive s*x.
