Sometimes it's a the simplicity in a set up that brings out the beauty.

I had to hop on this trend for things worth spending your money on with a twist 💸

The list isn't exhaustive, however, a good start for the essentials.

Let me know what are some monies worth items you've spent money on in your industry.

Wedding Dilemmas today is all about a bride who experience rejection from a vendor for not having a wedding planner or coordinator.

In as much as this is an additional budget, it is definitely a worthy investment because the logistical portion of a wedding when not handled by a professional, alot of that work spills over to family and committee, and at times, things slip through the cracks and that's usually a disaster.

So, have you ever been rejected by a vendor? And vendors, have you ever rejected a bride and what was the reason?

Still on the topic of choosing a bridal team, I encountered a former bride complaining about a main of honor who didn't perform her duties.
We had a group of people who reacted and told her the duties she gave the maid of honor aren't in the JD.

And this brings us to an important question, how should one choose a bridal party?

Should the criteria be only about having reps across the spaces you've been in (school, work, church, bands?)

Or is there a better way for picking and choosing a bridal team?
I'm curious to know how you chose before I give you insights on what you should consider when choosing.

Can we have easy wedding mornings?

I've been keen on how to simplify wedding mornings and as I've followed discourse on westafrican weddings I bumped into the it wedding happening now of Simi.

It was interesting to learn that something West African couples do is have images and videos done for all wedding outfits at once to eliviate the pressure on the actual wedding morning, and don't get me started on the wedding guests who do this as well 😅, but that's a story for another day.

Now, because Kenyan weddings are usually production heavy the morning off, I'm wondering whether this is something that could help Kenyan couples do better story telling and wedding day personalisation because you'll be approaching production from a point of (this is the story I'd like to tell) and not a (this is what happens in the industry type of scenario, you get me?

I'm curious if this is something vendors and clients alike would be willing to adopt

I'm back with another dilemma
Why do we think couples hosting weddings don't get to spend enough time with their guests?

Intentionality means we put some thought into the how everything will be done, and how it ties in together.

Good event planning means working from a place of knowing and not reaction based. That means intention should be placed around the main reason for hosting an event, interacting with those you've hosted, and that includes questioning the culture around weddings you've gone for and forging a path that embraces the community that is present to celebrate you.

If you're newly engaged, do you know what you want? We think alot about what we don't want but never what we do.....and this sets many couples for failure.
