To all friends, and individuals that were planning to attend Mysteryland 2015 at Migaa,
I regret to inform you that we Nightlife Events Kenya, along with the majority of DJs and entertainers who were meant to be part of this event, have decided to pull out of this event. It has come to our attention that Mysteryland 2015 is in fact nothing more than a hoax. Our suspicions were raised when communication between the "organizers" and several of us broke down. After undertaking some investigations, the following became apparent to us:
-All promo material (as well a the name) has been taken from a copy write event organized by a totally different entity. We are in talks with them and advising them to take legal action.
-The headline act Showteck was never going to perform at this event (they had were set to perform in Europe that day) and their name inclusion was simply to create hype and draw in people. Once people figured this out, the "organizers" quickly deleted all evidence. Screenshots were taken for all those interested.
-The profiles used by the alleged "organizers" are fake and were created only a few months ago. we have however successfully traced the profiles back to the real individuals behind this. A Saidi Shankey and some others. Screenshots can be provided for those who see further evidence.
-Migaa, the alleged venue for this event, was never booked on this date and are currently working with us to get to the bottom of this.
We STRONGLY stand up against these acts of pure greed by these con artists and we urge everyone who was interested in this event to spread the word and save both their time and money. DO NOT BUY ANY TICKETS. We urge all sponsors and stakeholders to be wary of what is taking place and not to be fooled like we were until now. Withdraw all your funding because there will be no event. We would like to apologies to our fans and supporters, for we fell into this trap as well and created hype for an event which we now see was never going to happen. However, we are and will continue to work tirelessly to ensure that these crooks are taken down and will never try to scam ravers and party people of Nairobi again.
to the "organizers" of Mysteryland 2015 reading this: shame on you. How dare you try make a farce and joke out of our industry, how dare you try make fools out of us. We are all about P.L.U.R, and you aim to take advantage of us. Let this be a lesson to you: you cannot mess with this industry and just get away with it. We have evidence and we have the law. We stand with the fans and the people, all you stand by is your greed. You have 24 hours to apologize and take this page down or we WILL take action against you.
