The first official release from Artmosphere Records is finally here!

Befittingly named 'The Lunatic Express',the first EP from Artmosphere Records follows the incredible story of the first railway built through East Africa. A journey through the untamed and hostile wilderness of Kenya. The project aims to embody the adventurous, pioneering spirit of the workers who sought to take on an impossible task, from their landing at Kilindini, battling through the harsh conditions of the desert and suffering through the wrath of the man-eating lions of Tsavo. A joint collaboration from Artmosphere co-founders and .
The EP is available for streaming on all major platforms, iTunes, Spotify.. and also available for download on Beatport, Traxsource and Juno. We hope you enjoy!

BNRD MARS, also known as Moonman, is a Kenyan rapper/producer who began his journey into the Nairobi music scene early during his high school years. Focusing in hiphop and alternative rnb, MARS maintains a reputable record in the Kenyan underground scene while still managing to gain international recognition. He is influenced by the intricately blended sounds of producer Flying Lotus and the gritty old school feel of hiphop legend MF Doom, which has inspired him to diversify his sound beyond the average expectation.

Catch Louis Abuga live at this Sunday!
Louis Abuga is a singer/songwriter based in Nairobi. He specializes in Indie Folk and RNB, which he grew up listening to and was influenced by legends such as Phil Collins, John Mayer and Luther Vandross to name a few.

Already singing at the young age of 8, Abuga would perform in drama festivals and eventually picked up the guitar in his early teens.

Full of emotion and gripping lyricism, his music makes it seem like you’re listening to a film. It captures the essence of vulnerability. He is considered among the best upcoming folk artists in Nairobi with noticeable gigs and performances in conjunction with Engage Kenya and Jamhuri Jam Sessions.

Promising new music including an EP that he is currently working on, Abuga asks his fans to expect nothing less than an outstanding yet beautiful masterpiece

Our final performer needs no introduction, Trina Mungai!

Trina Mungai who is also popularly known as Meremeka was born in Nairobi, Kenya. Her singing debut began at the age of 10, featuring in church choir performances and consequently getting onto bigger stages and singing in countless concerts and set productions from the age of 16. With songs like 'Shika' and 'Twenty Four', and having worked with nany international artists, she is a force to be reckoned with in the Nairobi underground scene.

Wanjau Kahoro, who performs as Cheers Baba, is a 21 year old rapper, born and raised in the city of Nairobi, Kenya.
He wrote and performed his first single at the age of 12.
He released his first set of singles titled "Goes" in 2017 on Soundcloud. So-Sire-Tea is his debut project; where he blends reggae beats with hip hop sounds.

I am Naimutie Nyoike also known as Bandulu, unfortunately a human being.
I explore with different volumes when I can, varying from newspaper, to old guitars to broken DVD's, all the way down to popsicle sticks. I'm an Art teacher at Acorn Community Based Centre for children with disabilities and some of their work is featured during this exhibition.
I'm an artist with a heart protected by a rainbow...I am.

Next we have a very good friend of ours, Bakhita!

Bakhita is a recording and Live performing musician in Nairobi whose sound is inspired by alternative: urbanjazz,hiphop and neosoul. Her musical style borrows alot from nature and sounds in our recurring environment. She mostly discusses trying to understand the way we as humans are and develop. This week she has prepared a set that she hopes will keep our toes tapping and she will be joined on stage by Mush, Isaac, Nathaniel and Lazima.
