WHAT IS YOUR LOVE LANGUAGE?
The wedding season is fast approaching. This is one of the busiest periods for planners, couples, vendors, pastors and all other parties involved. My encouragement today is for the young couples who are getting married (and by extension, those of us already in marriage).
Dr. Gary Chapman introduced the concept of love languages. They are 5 in number and they represent the different love languages we speak:
1. Words of Affirmation
This is for those of us who find strength in positive affirmation. We value words and are encouraged by the littlest of comments.
2. Receiving Gifts
This is for those who feel loved and appreciated when they are gifted, no matter the kind of gift received.
3. Quality Time
For those who value time spent with loved ones, this is for you. The presence and listening ear of a spouse are important to you.
4. Acts of Service
This is for those who feel loved when their spouses help them out with a particular activity they are involved in.
5. Physical Touch
This is for those who feel loved when their spouses physically touch them.
Take some time today and visit Gary Chapman's website for more information. You and your loved one can take the test to determine your love languages.
Cheers to all couples wedding this holiday, and to those celebrating their anniversaries.
