As we continue to celebrate , we are excited to introduce the young women social entrepreneurs who are part of our . The 28 young women represent a diverse group of youth leaders in Kenya who are passionately driven to contribute innovative and strategic solutions to challenges facing their communities. Their social enterprises seek to address diverse issues such as access to sexual reproductive and health rights (SRHR), creation of jobs among youth, supporting sexual and gender minorities, renewable energy and environment conservation, agribusiness, mental health, technology and education.
These outstanding young women will take part in a 2-year long program designed to develop their leadership skills and grow their social enterprises to scale and sustainability. Akili Dada recognises the prerequisites for young women with start-up social enterprises and in these 2-years; we will seek to appropriately respond to their unique needs. The young women will have access to seed grants, development trainings, and access to to be able to grow their enterprises.
Akili Dada is excited to see more young women owning their narratives and creating initiatives centered around their female experiences. To all the selected young women social entrepreneurs, 🥳
