LIVE: CELEBRATING THE LIFE OF THE LATE DOREEN NGORE KANGOGO
EULOGY
BIRTH
Doreen was born to the late Mrs. Beatrice Ngore and Mr. Dionysius Ngore as their second born daughter. Doreen was referred to as a precious child because of the many years our mother took before she could conceive her hence Doreen has left us always in reference of the precious child of the family. Doreen was sister to James Ngore, Eva Ngore and Getrude Ngore Mwiti. She was also a sister-in-law to George Mwiti. She was a loving auntie to her nieces and her nephews and she remains deeply rooted in their hearts.
EDUCATION
The late Doreen went to Pope John Nursery School and proceeded to Amung’enti Primary School before moving to her upper Primary education at St. John’s Primary School where she cleared her primary education. She then proceeded to The Maua Girls High School where she completed her high school education and proceeded to The Kenya Medical Training College where she trained for her nursing career work. Doreen was lucky as precious as she was referred to by our late mum to begin her career in a very early stage. Immediately after her training at KMTC, she began working for the Nyambene Nursing Home where she quickly got a chance to work for The Mother and Child Nursing Hospital and finally got the chance and privileged to work for The Kenyatta National Hospital where she has been in different units and different specialties until her demise. Doreen loved her patients and her patients loved her always. She was a darling to most of her patients especially in her primary ward and her radiotherapy unit where she has been until her demise.
On one morning a patient woke up to appreciate Doreen on social media on how well she had treated them during their admission at Kenyatta National Hospital something that we did not take for granted and something that shows the big heart that Doreen had for her patients.
CHURCH
Doreen was baptized at Amung’enti Catholic church where she worshiped during her childhood and her days in primary school. On marriage, she moved to the AIC Church and in life continued to worship in the Harvest church-Rongai where she has been a member of the church and of the ladies’ group until her demise.
MARRIAGE
While at Kenyatta National Hospital, Doreen met her friend Felix Kangogo. They tied the knot in the year 2007 and were blessed with three precious children; Natasha Kangogo, Nagil Kangogo and Nathan Kangogo. Doreen was married to a beautiful family, a family of love that was shown across Doreen and across her family. She was the loving daughter-in-law to Isaac Kibii Chepkonga and Penina Chepkonga. She was brother-in-law to David Chepkonga, Gilbert Chepkonga, Moses Chepkonga, Silas Chepkonga, Wycliffe Chepkonga, Mark Chepkonga and Robert Chepkonga. She was also the sister-in-law to Maryline Chepkonga, Emmy Chepkonga, Irene Chepkonga, Veronica Chesang, Flora Kipruto, Joan Barkasham, Jennifer Kipkech and Gladys Kiplagat. The In-laws of Doreen referred her as their first ever sister-in-law and referred to her as a light in their family and the jolly person that made their days bright whenever they had family meetings. Doreen you are missed by your In-laws.
