2025 AUTUMN & WINTER
『Essaouira』

北アフリカのモロッコの大西洋岸の湾岸都市の名称。 フランス人建築家、ニコラ・テオドール・コルニュによって設計され直線の城壁で街を取り囲み、それぞれの角に稜堡を配してヴォーバン式と呼ばれる城塞（星型城塞）を構築。

イスラム建築とヨーロッパの軍事建築が融合した独特の景観がある。

1960年代にアラビア語でEssaouira（エッサウィラ）＝ 美しきデザインと改称され、旧市街全てが世界遺産に認定された美しい港町。

旧市街の建築物はホワイトとブルーで統一されていてブラウンの煉瓦道とのコントラストが非常に美しい。

そして、そこで暮らすモロッコの先住民「ベルベル人」の通称ベルベルデザインはエッサウィラに限り、カラフルな色を基本用いて表現される。

ホワイトとブルーの中で立体的に浮き出る街に溢れるカラフルな伝統技術の全てが「美しきデザイン」に感じられた。

何度も訪れた此処でのプリミティブな想いをピュアに「エッサウィラ」を洋服で表現したコレクション。

そして、今シーズンののヴィジュアルテーマは “VISURAL LANGUAGE” という視覚的、抽象的言語の基礎を用いて、それらをARTと捉えながら鋭敏的な方法でコレクションを表現。

原色を使い、アフリカ的なアイデンティティを包み込み、文化的認識の形成に注力した。

ファッションはARTの一つである事を人々の感覚に訴えかける。

僕なりの「美しきデザイン」を五感に訴えかける。

固定概念に囚われず表現はもっと自由であるべきだとも、ね。
