Hi guys!
Recently, the number of foreign travelers visiting Karatsu city, Saga prefecture, have been increasing rapidly.
And one of Karatsu's big events, "Hamasaki-gion sai" is coming up soon on Jul. 22(Sat) and 23(Sun)!

The traditional festival which has ben going on for over 260 years, bagan as a prayer against 'plague' and wishing 'good harvest'.

With the 15 meter hight and 5 tons weight 'Yamakasa'(one of the biggest Yamakasa sizes in all around Japan!), people march around the area with beautiful lighting, cheers and applause.

Check out this restaurant in Tenjin, "Hakata Gomasaba Ya"!!!

All of our KeyBase staff love this place!
Where you can eat fresh fish for a super reasonable price!!
Not so famous among Local people but it's one of the best places to eat "Goma Saba".

Goma Saba is a menu which is a raw mackerel dipped in soy sauce and sesame, with a side of some Wasabi.

Definitely a must try when you come to Fukuoka!!

The lunch is cheap and great so stop by there before 13:30.
Closed on Sundays.

Do you have any plans for Golden Week? (Golden Week is a holiday week in Japan which is from the end of April to early May.)
It is expected that more than 2.1 million people will come visit Hakata Dontaku Festival (5/3,5/4).
If you are planning to store your luggage around Hakata station during the holiday, it may be tough to find empty lockers.
We offer storing luggage service and the reservation is welcomed!!!

If your luggage can fit in the bag, number of baggage does not matter!!
Simple and easy and cheaper than most coin lockers or baggage storing service!!
