OIRAN — The Beauty of Japan, Reborn on Stage

Oiran…

They captivated people not only with their beauty, but also with their refinement, artistic accomplishments, and graceful presence.

On stage, the world of the Oiran is brought to life through magnificent kimono, elegant movement, music, and every carefully crafted gesture and step.

And within this story,
the presence of Taira no Masakado, enshrined at Kanda Shrine, also becomes part of the stage.

Masakado, who lived during the Heian period,
and the Oiran of the Edo period.

They belong to different eras of Japanese history.

Yet on this stage, their stories cross the boundaries of time.

From the sacred grounds of Kanda Shrine,
under the quiet watch of Masakado,
the Oiran once again breathe life into the stage. 🎬

Music.
The movement of the kimono.
Graceful and dignified gestures.
Sensual beauty and mystery.

The spirit of Japanese aesthetics
comes alive before your eyes.

This is not something
simply to watch.

It is a world
to step into,
to feel,
and to experience.

花魁 ― 舞台に蘇る、日本の美。

花魁....
美しさだけでなく、教養や芸事、
洗練された立ち居振る舞いでも人々を魅了した存在。
舞台では、豪華絢爛な着物、艶やかな立ち振る舞い、そして音楽一つひとつの歩みや仕草を通して、その花魁の世界観を表現します。

そして、この舞台の物語には、
神田神社に祀られる平将門公の存在も重なります。

平安時代を生きた将門公と、
江戸時代の花魁。

本来は異なる時代の歴史を生きた存在ですが、
この舞台では、それぞれが持つ
「強さ」「美」「生きる姿」を、
時代を越えて、この神田神社の地から、
将門公が静かに見守る中、
花魁たちは再び舞台に命を宿すシーン🎬

音楽。
衣装の揺らめき。
凛とした所作。
妖艶さと神秘。

日本の美意識が、
目の前で息を吹き返す。

これは、
ただ「観る」ためのものではない。
