وفد اتحاد الغرف التجارية العراقية يشارك في فعاليات منظمة التجارة العالمية في جنيف

شارك وفد اتحاد الغرف التجارية العراقية في اليوم العالمي للتجارة والتكنولوجيا 2026 والمنتدى العام لمنظمة التجارة العالمية في جنيف، واللذين نظمتهما منظمة التجارة العالمية (WTO) بالتعاون مع غرفة التجارة الدولية (ICC).

وترأس الوفد السيد كيلان عزيز، رئيس غرفة تجارة وصناعة أربيل، بمشاركة ممثلين عن غرفة التجارة الدولية في العراق (ICC Iraq)، وعدد من رجال وسيدات الأعمال العراقيين، وبمشاركة بعثة جمهورية العراق لدى الأمم المتحدة في جنيف.

وناقشت الفعاليات دور الذكاء الاصطناعي والتقنيات الحديثة في تسهيل التجارة الدولية ومعالجة تحدياتها. وتأتي هذه المشاركة لتعزيز حضور القطاع الخاص العراقي عالمياً، وبناء الشراكات، ونقل الخبرات الداعمة للتنمية الاقتصادية المستدامة.

Federation of Iraqi Chambers of Commerce Delegation Participates in WTO Events in Geneva

A delegation from the Federation of Iraqi Chambers of Commerce participated in World Trade & Tech Day 2026 and the WTO Public Forum in Geneva, organized by the World Trade Organization (WTO) in cooperation with the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC).

The delegation was headed by Mr. Kilan Aziz, President of the Erbil Chamber of Commerce and Industry, with the participation of representatives from ICC Iraq, Iraqi businesswomen and businessmen, and the Permanent Mission of the Republic of Iraq to the United Nations Office in Geneva.

The events explored the role of artificial intelligence and emerging technologies in facilitating international trade and addressing its challenges. This participation aimed to strengthen the global presence of Iraq’s private sector, build international partnerships, and transfer expertise supporting sustainable economic development.

اتحاد الغرف التجارية العراقية ومنظمة نخلة للفنون تتعاونان لتنظيم قمة بغداد الاقتصادية

وقّع اتحاد الغرف التجارية العراقية ومنظمة نخلة للفنون مذكرة تفاهم للتعاون في تنظيم المنتدى الاقتصادي لبلاد الرافدين – قمة بغداد 2026، المقرر إقامته في بغداد للفترة 16–18 تشرين الثاني 2026، تحت شعار «ربط بلاد الرافدين: ممرات الازدهار».

وتنص المذكرة على تولّي الاتحاد دور الشريك المؤسسي ودعم المشاركة والتواصل مع الغرف التجارية والقطاعين العام والخاص والمستثمرين.

ويأتي هذا التعاون بهدف تعزيز الحوار الاقتصادي والاستثماري، وبناء الشراكات، واستقطاب الشركات والمستثمرين من داخل العراق وخارجه.

Federation of Iraqi Chambers of Commerce and Nakhla Arts Organization Collaborate to Organize the Baghdad Economic Summit

The Federation of Iraqi Chambers of Commerce and the Nakhla Arts Organization have signed a memorandum of understanding to collaborate on organizing the Mesopotamia Economic Forum – Baghdad Summit 2026. Scheduled to take place in Baghdad from November 16 to 18, 2026, the event will be held under the theme "Connecting Mesopotamia: Corridors of Prosperity."

Under the agreement, the Federation will serve as an institutional partner, facilitating participation and engagement with chambers of commerce, the public and private sectors, and investors.

This collaboration aims to foster economic and investment dialogue, build partnerships, and attract companies and investors from both within and outside Iraq.

اتحاد الغرف التجارية العراقية يبحث مع وفد أرميني تعزيز التعاون الاقتصادي والاستثمار المشترك

بحث نائبا رئيس اتحاد الغرف التجارية العراقية، السيد علي الخرسان ( رئيس غرفة تجارة ذي قار ) والسيد دريد حمودي الاعرجي (رئيس غرفة تجارة المثنى ) ، مع الوفد الأرميني الذي ضمّ رئيس دائرة الشرق الأوسط وشمال أفريقيا والسفير الأرميني لدى بغداد، سبل تعزيز العلاقات الاقتصادية والتجارية بين العراق وأرمينيا.

وعُقد اللقاء بحضور سعادة السفير بكر فتاح، رئيس دائرة أوروبا في وزارة الخارجية العراقية، والسيد رياض الهاشمي، مدير عام دائرة العلاقات الاقتصادية الخارجية، والدكتور مالك الدريعي، مدير عام دائرة تطوير القطاع الخاص، إلى جانب السيد أحمد الياسري، مستشار شؤون المنظمات الدولية في اتحاد الغرف التجارية العراقية.

وناقش الجانبان واقع العلاقات الاقتصادية بين البلدين الصديقين والآليات الكفيلة بتطويرها، مع التركيز على تعزيز التعاون التجاري والتنسيق بين القطاعين العام والخاص، وفتح آفاق جديدة أمام الاستثمارات والمشروعات المشتركة.

وأسفر الاجتماع عن الاتفاق على المضي في تأسيس مجلس الأعمال العراقي–الأرميني، وتبادل زيارات الوفود التجارية، وتنظيم المؤتمرات والملتقيات الاقتصادية والاستثمارية المشتركة، فضلاً عن العمل على تبسيط الإجراءات وتذليل العقبات أمام رجال الأعمال والشركات في كلا البلدين.

Federation of Iraqi Chambers of Commerce Discusses Enhancing Economic Cooperation and Joint Investment with an Armenian Delegation
The Deputy Presidents of the Federation of Iraqi Chambers of Commerce, Mr. Ali Al-Kharasan (Head of Dhi Qar Chamber of Commerce) and Mr. Duraid Hammoudi Al-Araji (Head of Al-Muthanna Chamber of Commerce), discussed ways to enhance economic and trade relations between Iraq and Armenia with an Armenian delegation that included the Head of the Middle East and North Africa Department and the Armenian Ambassador to Baghdad.
The meeting was held in the presence of His Excellency Ambassador Bakr Fattah, Head of the European Department at the Iraqi Ministry of Foreign Affairs; Mr. Riyadh Al-Hashemi, Director General of the Department of External Economic Relations; Dr. Malik Al-Draihi, Director General of the Private Sector Development Department; along with Mr. Ahmed Al-Yasari, Advisor for International Organizations Affairs at the Federation of Iraqi Chambers of Commerce.
The two sides discussed the current state of economic relations between the two friendly countries and the mechanisms required to develop them, with a focus on enhancing trade cooperation, coordination between the public and private sectors, and opening new horizons for joint investments and projects.
The meeting resulted in an agreement to proceed with the establishment of the Iraqi-Armenian Business Council, exchange visits of trade delegations, organize joint economic and investment conferences and forums, and work on streamlining procedures and removing obstacles for businesspeople and companies in both countries.

عقد اتحاد الغرف التجارية العراقية، يوم الخميس 10 أيلول 2026 في مقر الاتحاد، اجتماعاً تنسيقياً بشأن مبادرة العلامة الوطنية «بأيادٍ عراقية»، وذلك بالتنسيق مع مركز التجارة الدولية (ITC) وبحضور ممثلي وزارات الزراعة، والصناعة والمعادن، والتخطيط، والتجارة، فضلاً عن الجهات الحكومية والقطاع الخاص والاتحادات ذات العلاقة.
ومثّل اتحاد الغرف التجارية العراقية في الاجتماع كل من السيد صباح البغدادي (مستشار رئيس الاتحاد) والسيد أنمار إياد ملوكي (مدير قسم المنظمات الدولية).
واستعرض الاجتماع -الذي افتُتح بكلمات ترحيبية واستعراض لجدول الأعمال- الوضع الحالي لمبادرة «بأيادٍ عراقية» وترتيبات الحوكمة المقترحة، متناولاً الإطار التنظيمي للمبادرة وتحديد أدوار الجهات المعنية في إدارتها وتطويرها بناءً على ملاحظات أصحاب المصلحة. كما بحث الجوانب العملية لآلية التقديم والتحقق والتسجيل، بهدف وضع إجراءات واضحة وشفافة وقابلة للتطبيق تضمن استيفاء المعايير المعتمدة للمنتجات والعلامات، وتعزز ثقة المنتجين والمستفيدين بالمبادرة.
وفي ختام الاجتماع، جرى الاتفاق على مواصلة التنسيق المشترك بين الجهات المشاركة لاستكمال المتطلبات الفنية والتنظيمية الخاصة بالمبادرة، بما يدعم أهدافها الرامية إلى إبراز جودة المنتجات العراقية وتعزيز هويتها الوطنية في الأسواق.

The Federation of Iraqi Chambers of Commerce held a coordination meeting on Thursday, September 10, 2026, at its headquarters, regarding the national brand initiative "By Iraqi Hands," in coordination with the International Trade Center (ITC) and in attendance with representatives from government entities, the private sector, and relevant organizations and federations.
The Federation of Iraqi Chambers of Commerce was represented at the meeting by Mr. Sabah Al-Baghdadi, Advisor to the President of the Federation, and Mr. Anmar Eyad Malouki, Director of the International Organizations Department.
The meeting—which opened with welcoming remarks and a review of the agenda and discussion topics—focused on the current status of the "By Iraqi Hands" initiative and the proposed governance arrangements, discussing the initiative's regulatory framework and defining the roles of the relevant entities in managing and developing it based on stakeholder feedback. The meeting also addressed the practical aspects of the application, verification, and registration mechanisms for the initiative, aiming to establish clear, transparent, and applicable procedures that ensure compliance with approved standards for products and brands, thereby boosting producers' and beneficiaries' confidence in the initiative.
At the close of the meeting, participants agreed to continue joint coordination between the participating entities to complete the technical and regulatory requirements for the initiative, supporting its objectives of highlighting the quality of Iraqi products and strengthening their national identity in the markets.

اتحاد الغرف التجارية العراقية يبحث مع الجهات المعنية دعم القطاع التجاري والاستثماري وتعزيز بيئة الأعمال

التقى وفد اتحاد الغرف التجارية العراقية برئاسة الأستاذ علي طالب الخرسان ، نائب رئيس اتحاد الغرف التجارية العراقية ورئيس غرفة تجارة ذي قار و الاستاذ دريد حمودي الاعرجي ، نائب رئيس اتحاد الغرف التجارية العراقية رئيس غرفة تجارة المثنى ، اليوم الأربعاء ، لبحث واقع القطاع التجاري والاستثماري والتحديات التي تواجه التجار وأصحاب الأعمال، وسبل تعزيز البيئة الاقتصادية ودعم النشاط التجاري في البلاد.

وتناول اللقاء جملة من الملفات الاقتصادية المهمة، في مقدمتها الرسوم الكمركية وكلفة الوقود المجهز للمصانع، وانعكاس ارتفاع تكاليفها على أسعار البضائع والسلع المطروحة في الأسواق، فضلاً عن أهمية الفصل بين العقود الحكومية والعقود التجارية، بما ينسجم مع طبيعة الخدمات التي يقدمها القطاع الخاص للجهات العامة.

كما ناقش اللقاء أهمية تعديل قانون الوكالات التجارية، بما يتلاءم مع طبيعة عمل الوكالات والشركات الأجنبية العاملة في العراق، إلى جانب بحث سبل دعم افتتاح المنفذ التجاري مع المملكة العربية السعودية في محافظة المثنى، من خلال المتابعة التشريعية والنيابية، بما يسهم في تعزيز الحركة التجارية وفتح آفاق جديدة أمام القطاع الخاص في المحافظة.

وثمّن الوفد الإجراءات الحكومية المتخذة لدعم القطاع التجاري، ومنها إطلاق نافذة لتمويل صغار التجار، وتبسيط إجراءات تسجيل الشركات عبر نظام النافذة الواحدة، وأتمتة الإجراءات الكمركية، وتفعيل اتفاقية النقل البري الدولي، فضلاً عن دعم المصدّرين وحماية المنتجات العراقية.

A delegation from the Federation of Iraqi Chambers of Commerce, headed by Mr. Ali Talib Al-Kharsan, Deputy Chairman of the Federation and President of the Dhi Qar Chamber of Commerce, and Mr. Duraid Hammoudi Al-Araji, Deputy Chairman of the Federation and President of the Al-Muthanna Chamber of Commerce, met today, Wednesday, The meeting focused on discussing the current state of the commercial and investment sectors, the challenges facing merchants and business owners, and ways to enhance the economic environment and support commercial activity in the country.

The meeting addressed a number of important economic issues, most notably customs tariffs and the cost of fuel supplied to factories, along with the impact of their rising costs on the prices of goods and commodities in markets. It also emphasized the importance of distinguishing between government contracts and commercial contracts, in alignment with the nature of services provided by the private sector to public entities.

Furthermore, the meeting discussed the importance of amending the commercial agencies law to suit the operational nature of agencies and foreign companies operating in Iraq, alongside exploring ways to support the opening of the commercial border crossing with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in Al-Muthanna Governorate through legislative and parliamentary follow-up. This initiative aims to enhance trade movement and open new horizons for the private sector in the governorate.

The delegation commended the government measures taken to support the commercial sector, including launching a financing window for small traders, streamlining company registration procedures through the single-window system, automating customs procedures, activating the international road transport TIR convention, and supporting exporters while protecting Iraqi products.

شارك اتحاد الغرف التجارية العراقية في اجتماع بوزارة الخارجية العراقية، بحضور ممثلين عن الحكومة والبعثات والسفارات الأوروبية، ومثّل الاتحاد السيد أحمد الياسري، مستشار شؤون المنظمات الدولية.

وناقش الاجتماع تعزيز العلاقات التجارية والاقتصادية بين العراق والدول الأوروبية، وزيادة التبادل التجاري واستقطاب الاستثمارات، إلى جانب التحضيرات للمنتدى الوطني العراقي للتجارة والاستثمار المقرر عقده نهاية تشرين الأول.

The Federation of Iraqi Chambers of Commerce Participates in a Meeting to Enhance Economic Cooperation with Europe

The Federation of Iraqi Chambers of Commerce participated in a meeting at the Iraqi Ministry of Foreign Affairs, attended by representatives from the government as well as European diplomatic missions and embassies. The Federation was represented by Mr. Ahmed Al-Yasiri, Advisor for International Organizations Affairs.

The meeting addressed the strengthening of trade and economic relations between Iraq and European nations, the expansion of trade exchange, and the attraction of investments. Discussions also covered preparations for the Iraqi National Trade and Investment Forum, scheduled to take place at the end of October.
