Wir sagen Danke! Der Container ist voll und auf der Reise nach Jamaika. Wir konnten 300m² Holzplatten, 100m² Wellblech, Dachlatten und Schrauben kaufen, für Opfer des Hurricane 'Beryl'. Tausend Dank an die lieben Spender von knapp 1000€ Edzard Conring Holger Cramm Alex Martha Meyer Noreen Hapunkt Manuela Otto

Außerdem haben wir jede Menge tolle Sachspenden bekommen, tausend Dank an Morena Volpini Sven Gino Drantmann Kristin Drantmann Manuela Otto Jackie Brown Paul Osterwohlt Eli Sommer Mansa Stone Robert Mann

Das wird sehr helfen, ich sage jetzt schon einen riesen Dank von den Hopewell Youths Roger Clark Rolston Rowe und von unserer Hopewell Community, wir werden soviel damit wieder aufbauen, wie es geht, denn unsere Community hat es sehr schwer erwischt und eigentlich ist fast alles kaputt. Gerne nehmen wir noch weitere Spenden an, da wir für das Material und die Verschiffung jetzt ca 7000€ zahlen und wir ja auch von vorne anfangen müßen und Geld wirklich knapp ist und weitere Kosten in Jamaika auf uns zu kommen werden. Das ganze konnte nur wegen der tollen Zusammenarbeit von unseren neuen 'Nachbarn' Marco Fuchs und seiner Frau (die den Container verschiffen) und natürlich wegen meinem Brudi Bumba Yeah funktionieren, up top Fam

Wir werden mit dem Material Dächer von Wohnhäusern reparieren und einige Läden wieder aufbauen, die komplett zerstört wurden.

There are also changing cultural and sporting events. The annual Calabash Literature Festival, for example, is world-renowned and Jamaica's largest festival of its kind, Treasure Beach FC plays premier league football, or the legendary fishing boat races, on the beach at Billy's Bay. The Saint Elizabeth district has the lowest crime rate in Jamaica and Treasure Beach in particular is extremely safe, everyone can move around here on their own, even at night, without worrying about being harassed or becoming a crime victim
