I’m so excited to bring Peas & Love Plant Based Cuisine back to The Veeg Shack for a very special Winter Feast Buffet!
Join us on Sunday 28th December at 7pm for a cosy evening of festive flavours, seasonal produce, and delicious plant-based comfort food.

I’ve been out spotting early fruit, and it’s perfect timing – they’ll be starring in the apple & blackberry sorbet at our Peas and Love pop-up event.

Just a little bit about me and what Peas and Love is all about.

Peas and Love Plant-Based Cuisine is the brainchild of Robert Thunder β€” chef for 28 years and vegan since 2019.
We offer vibrant, seasonal plant-based food through private dinner parties in your home and pop-up events in restaurants. Get in touch via DM for bookings and availability.

Trained in the British Army, Robert was awarded Army Junior Chef of the Year and cooked for the UK military team at the Culinary World Cup in Luxembourg in 1998. After leaving the forces, he studied Culinary Arts in Manchester while working on the city’s iconic restaurant boats. His culinary journey has taken him from the canals of the UK to the kitchens of Melbourne and Perth, the Blue Mountains of Jamaica, and the decks of luxury charter yachts sailing the Caribbean and Mediterranean. He also spent several years cooking in the VIP boxes at Liverpool Football Club, preparing food for the families of players on match days.

Rooted in a love for nature and inspired by his studies in permaculture, Robert blends classical technique with a deep respect for the land β€” creating flavour-packed food that’s good for people and the planet.

Join us on Saturday 23rd August 2025 from 6–10pm for a special 3-course plant-based dinner at the wonderful Veeg Shack in Swindon.

We’re serving up bold, seasonal flavours with a carefully curated set menu:

🌿 Starter
Grilled polenta with cherry tomatoes, samphire & salsa verde

🌿 Main
Deep-fried haggis with sweet potato mash, fresh greens, shallots & red wine gravy

🌿 Dessert
Aquafaba meringue, apple & blackberry sorbet, Chantilly cream, blackberry sauce & apple crisp

Tickets are Β£30 and must be booked in advance.
