Chaps Hi Tech is one of many sounds that originate from the carribian island Jamaica. The founder Chaps built the sound in October 2003 and not only did he have a love for music but his main motivation for the creation of Chaps Hi Tech was to bring people together for love and unity. As most people have guessed Chaps came up with the name for the sound using a phrase that would sync with his name hence the name"Chaps Hi Tech" After Chaps began building the sound he then united with friends who then became D.j's for the sound.Stoneface, Waynie-Boo,Monk and Norman, and they carried on bringing people together through music. In 2005 Chaps then brought Chaps Hi Tech sound to the U.K starting up a new Chaps Hi Tech family, Shotty'Barnes,Killa, Junior Smalls,Don,Eddy, and many more,leaving the first family in Jamaica and giving Chaps Hi Tech exposure in the U.K.Another Chaps Hi Tech family has branched off to the Netherlands promoting our sound and its music. Whilst the sound has been in the U.K Chaps has carried on building the sounds profile by playing on radio stations,and many events such as dances,sound clash,birthday bashes, and personal events such as weddings, and christening keeping its high standard and quality
