You know, we had the privilege of being invited to this 50th birthday party and I was profoundly reminded of something; the work we do is literally part of a moment that means so much to someone; it’s a quiet partner doing its little part, adding to the details that make an event memorable.

I’m always grateful when I’m invited to an event we do work for. It’s humbling. We get to see first hand why it’s important to always do the best we can...a moment in time depends on it.

Gold foiled menus for a star of a husband who so well deserved this 50th birthday party is wife threw for him.

Yeah, the menus were nice and all but we really loved the chess-themed cake 😉. (Nah, we don’t know who did it)

Rhinestoned menu cards in and for Patsy’s & Dalton’s wedding. I had the honor of being invited to their wedding and I took these photos after the reception. You can see I got a little excited with the picture-taking. 😄 The decor by was just so perfect for photos 😁

When I started in 2014 it was based on the idea that my invitations would not be thrown out - they had a purpose after the wedding. Invitokens would add value and be a constant but usable reminder of beautiful people and events.

I’ve said it before that the best compliment you can receive from any client is being invited to share in their celebrations. And so it was when I was invited to Patsy’s and Dalton’s wedding. 💍
What brought tears to my eyes - yet again - was seeing my Invitoken being used as intended. A guest was taking pictures and she left her “purse” on a table I was walking past. It was the invitation for Patsy & Dalton. In the cover photo it’s sitting pretty with an actual purse and resting on the menu we also designed. In the second photo, the guest came back to the table and I asked her if I could take a picture of her “purse”. Not knowing who I was, she smilingly and excitedly said to me with the vibrancy and personality of a typical Jamaican “yuh know is not a real purse! Is di invitation; it nice, don’t?!“ I replied quite subdued as I was overcome with emotion “yeah, it cute bad, das why I want a picture”.
Me being me though, I had to style the photo so I propped it up on some napkins the decorators were dis-assembling. It was quite a night.
