Various musicians from our co-op will be playing throughout the day, including a folk duo (late morning) and the No Strings Attached Quartet (1:30). Piano Strings (duo) have their own stall, so you can talk to them directly.

Lovely intimate wedding today at the Royal Yacht, with solo violin plus backing tracks. Sorry no pics yet! Repertoire inclucing Einaudi's "Una Mattina" and "River Flows in You" by Yiruma.

I've just been catching up on some admin; apologies for the delay if you've emailed us in the last week or so. The end of the school term is always a busy time as many of us teach, and we're also in peak rehearsal period for the AMAZING Jersey Symphony Orchestra concert this Saturday ("Be there or be a rectangular thingy").

If you're a classical music noob, the "Young Person's Guide to the Orchestra" which we're playing in this concert will be a fantastic introduction; if you are an expert, you'll appreciate the virtuosity of the piece which showcases every section in the orchestra from the piccolo to the tuba.

Tickets are still available, and children's tickets are only £2.

Who are we?

Stringendo is a consortium of string players based in Jersey, Channel Islands. We aim to work together to offer you, the client, the highest calibre performance. Our offerings and repertoire are surprisingly varied – from classical favourites to covers of your favourite songs and even dubstep violin!

Although it may seem that our groups are in competition with each other, in fact all of us are local musicians, colleagues and friends. Members of one group will stand in for those of another when somebody isn’t available and most of us play together in the local orchestras. In addition to that, we often pass on each others’ details. We’ve found over time that it pays to work together rather than against each other in order to offer you, the audience (and hopefully the client!) the best music and the best service we can. Combining forces with other local musicians such as some of our lovely collaborative pianists, and with events planners and other artists, we hope that we can now offer you a wider range of services, from classical quartets to modern covers, folk music and... well, think of something and we’ll try to manage it. Although it’s not our remit, we do also have contacts with other local musicians and bands so if you have a specific request we’ll try our best to help you.
