PLEASE VOTE: The narrow and winding road through Vallée des Vaux has a 15 mph speed limit. It is a popular spot for walkers, cyclists, and horse riders. The valley is only a few minutes walk or cycle ride from the North of St Helier. Parking within Vallée des Vaux itself is limited. YET, at a recent St Helier Parish Assembly, a member of the current Roads Committee stated that the 15 mph speed limit through Vallée des Vaux was not necessary! For my part, and to be more effective in challeging this and equally ridiculous suggestions I need to be in a better place to help make a difference. Who Cares? about the great work going on within five of Helier quarters, residents will be encouraged to come together to find ways to improve the lives of everyone who lives there. This could be, for example, adding play equipment, restricting traffic, organising events and initiating effective Neighberhood watch schemes.
