A Huge Well Done to Madeleine!

Last weekend, our very own Madeleine Harvey organised and presented a wonderful fundraising concert with her friends — a brilliant afternoon of music, teamwork, and creativity from start to finish.

We are incredibly proud of the professionalism and musicality she showed in planning, rehearsing and leading the event. Even more inspiring, Madeleine chose to donate the proceeds to Autism Jersey, raising an amazing £320.

A huge thank you to all the performers, families, and supporters who came along — it was a real celebration of what young musicians can achieve when they take the lead.

Well done, Madeleine — we are so proud of you.

What a fantastic afternoon at our Da Capo Christmas Fayre!
Thank you so much to everyone who joined us - students, families, staff, and friends. The energy in the building was amazing, and it was wonderful to see our community come together to celebrate the festive season with music, crafts, and lots of Christmas cheer.

From our young performers in orchestra and choir, to the bustling stalls, delicious treats, and of course a visit from Santa and his elves - the whole afternoon was filled with joy. Events like this remind us how special our Da Capo community truly is.

A huge thank-you to all our volunteers, bakers, crafters, performers, and helpers who made the event such a success. We’re so grateful for your support and enthusiasm.

EXTENDED DEADLINE

📣 Registration Extended to 19 December!

We’ve had lots of interest in our Spring Into Conducting residential course with Robert Houlihan, so we’re extending applications until 19 December.

Across the week, participants will explore repertoire by Haydn, Mozart, Beethoven, Strauss, Britten, Sibelius, and more — working with pianist, string quartet, and wind quintet in a focused, supportive environment.

Our adult students, parents, and friends of the Academy are looking forward to our Christmas concert at the Town Hall! Please do come along to support them in a programme of orchestral music plus some smaller ensemble performances with a festive theme.

Da Capo Jersey is always open to new members! If your New Years Resolution is to dust off that old fiddle, trombone or oboe - or to start learning an orchestral instrument - please don't hesitate to get in touch! We're a social orchestra with no audition requirements or minimum standard, and we can write parts that you'll be able to play.

Today begins the first of our exam preparation sessions ahead of the ABRSM and Trinity examinations in December. Each student receives accompaniment rehearsals and aural sessions. Our pianists also take part in scales and sight-reading preparation. Good luck to all of our students!
