As the leaves begin to fall, our gardens start to come full circle.

Kitchen and garden waste is composted here at The Atlantic, creating rich organic matter that we can return to the soil across our grounds.

It helps replenish nutrients, improve the structure of the soil and retain moisture, particularly valuable this year after our long, dry summer.

It’s one of the practical measures that form part of our EarthCheck Silver accreditation, from paperless newspaper subscriptions and refillable toiletries right down to what happens with all of our waste.

As schools start to head back, October half term is coming onto the horizon.

At The Atlantic Hotel, we have ten acres of grounds to explore, the coast of St Ouen’s Bay on our doorstep, indoor and outdoor pools for when the weather turns cooler, plus delicious in-house dining to cater to every need and desire.

Not only does the setting itself provide a tranquil retreat for families, but our interconnecting rooms also offer a comfortable space for everyone to unwind back in their room. From 1 October, families of up to two adults and two children aged 12 and under can book a second room at 50% off, with the option of room-only or bed and breakfast.

There is a tangible turn of the seasons on the island.

That lovely point in the year when we still hope for plenty of late-summer sunshine, while the mornings bring a little crispness, and the sun starts to set just a little earlier than it did a few weeks ago.

It’s a beautiful time to discover Jersey.

There is plenty to enjoy here whatever the weather brings - from stunning coastal walks to exploring the lanes of St Helier and Jersey’s rich cultural heritage. Back at the hotel, summer lingers in afternoons by the outdoor pool, time spent in the gardens and seasonal dining as the evenings begin to draw in.

Yoga with a view.

Each Saturday morning, join us at the hotel for Yin Yang Yoga overlooking St Ouen’s Bay with Kalimukti.

A beautifully balanced practice combining fluid Yang sequences to warm the body with longer-held Yin postures to encourage release and restoration, accessible to all levels.

When the weather is right, practise outside amongst our award-winning grounds with the sea stretching out beyond.

These sessions are available for non-residents to book through the Kalimukti app. Hotel guests can enjoy complimentary access subject to availability - simply enquire at Reception.

The best of Jersey, on a plate.

Many of the finest ingredients on our menus begin within a few miles of the hotel. Tomatoes from Three Oaks Vineries, Jersey Royals direct from the field, local asparagus and oysters - brought into the kitchen at their freshest, then transformed through the creativity and craft of our team at Ocean Restaurant.

Working closely with these producers is an important part of the process, bringing together the skill and care of those who grow our food with that of the chefs who transform it. The result is something our diners can enjoy at its very best, in one of Jersey’s most spectacular settings.
