Judit Beke – SUNNYFIELD’S Golden Retriever Kennel
I was born in 1986, and my journey into the world of Golden Retrievers began in 2001, sparked by an encounter with an exceptionally successful stud dog that ignited my passion. My first litter was born in 2005, and from it emerged International champions and Veteran World winners. Over the years, we have expanded our kennel with several imported dogs—initially from England—including my first English import female, CH MESSANO GOES TO SUNNYFIELD'S "FAITH", who lived for 15 years and remains a defining personality of our kennel.
Our home-bred and import males, with outstanding genetic backgrounds, as well as their offspring, proudly represent the “Sunnyfield’s” name all over the world to this day.
From an early age, I was actively involved in the work of Retriever Clubs and the organization of dog shows—this commitment eventually became my profession. I earned my degree at Eszterházy Károly College in Eger, specializing in sports management, event planning, and recreation.
In 2007, I passed my dog grooming exam, and since then I have run my own business in this field, personally preparing my dogs for shows.
In 2016, we founded the Hungarian Retriever and Water Dog Association, which has since grown into one of the largest breed clubs in the country. I proudly serve as its president to this day.
In 2011, I qualified as an FCI International Show Judge. Currently, I judge FCI Groups 8 and 9, as well as some popular breeds from Group 7, and the FCI Non-recognized breeds.
I have judged in 20 countries so far, including at the European Dog Shows in Poland (2018), Budapest (2021), and Czech Republic (2025).
One of the greatest honors of my career came in 2024, when I had the privilege to judge at a CC show in Scotland, the homeland of my breed, the Golden Retriever—an unforgettable milestone in my journey.
