While organizing Indian weddings in Italy, it’s highly important to respect the customs and traditions of their culture. The following are guidelines we have followed to create an appropriate setup:
1) Usually, Indian weddings have large guest list, so choose venues with ease of logistics and collaborate with reliable vendors.
2) It’s not just a one-day ceremony - it’s a multi-day feast. From the vibrant welcome dinner to the spirited “Sangeet” (a moment dedicated to the future couple expressed by songs and dances), each event is an opportunity to celebrate love and tradition.
3) Use the eye-catching colors and opulent decorations of a traditional Hindu ceremony.
4) Feel the artistic magic of the “Mehendi” ritual, where intricate Henna tattoos are painted on the bride’s hands and feet, and symbolize the loving bond between husband and wife.
5) Witness the bride’s journey as she adorns herself with the sacred “Choora” bangles before exchanging vows under the remarkable, usually flower-ornate “Mandap” (traditional Indian canopy).
