People often see the pretty dress, the beautiful venues and the finished wedding photos.

What they don't see are the 20,000 steps, the endless WhatsApp messages, carrying emergency kits, moving chairs, chasing suppliers, fixing timelines, answering questions and somehow surviving on very little food and a lot of adrenaline.

Wedding days are long.
They're hot.
They're exhausting.

But there is something incredibly special about watching months (sometimes years) of planning come to life and seeing a couple completely immersed in one of the happiest days of their lives.

10 Things To Know About Me 🤍

✨ I'm Cheryl, a British wedding planner who swapped the UK for Italy 19 years ago and never looked back.

✨ I've planned over 400 weddings across Italy, but I still get excited for every single one.

✨ Sorrento is home, but I now plan weddings throughout Italy, including the Amalfi Coast, Tuscany, Puglia, Rome and Sicily.

✨ I believe your wedding should feel like the best week of your life, not just the best day.

✨ My favourite part of wedding planning isn't the flowers or the tablescapes (although I love those too!) it's getting to know my couples and helping them create memories with the people they love most.

✨ I speak both English and Italian, which means I spend most of my days switching between supplier calls, venue visits, guest emails and wedding dreams.

✨ I am obsessed with guest experience. If your guests leave saying, "That was the best wedding we've ever been to," then I've done my job.

✨ You'll often find me driving around Italy, venue scouting, tasting menus, meeting suppliers, or convincing couples that yes, they really do need the live food station!

✨ I still pinch myself that this is my job.

✨ And finally... I cry at weddings. Every. Single. Time.

A beachfront Haldi , A courtyard Sangeet, An Indian wedding in an iconic piazza. Dancing beneath the stars until sunrise; this is what we did for 250 guests at the iconic Borgo Egnazia.

Your “something blue” doesn’t have to be hidden. 💙

I absolutely loved how Sarah chose a colour palette for her closest friends so they stood out , had them there for the reveal, and then walk down the aisle , without all the pressure and structure that can sometimes come with a bridal party.

Because destination weddings in Italy should still feel like a holiday for your guests too.

Less stress.
Less chaos.
More beautiful moments together.

And these moments before the ceremony ,laughing, reacting to the dress, soaking in the sunshine and realising the day is finally here , often become some of the most special memories of all.

After two days on the Amalfi coast ( for work and pleasure) I am coming back home to Sorrento reflecting on what is important when visiting this beautiful area. My advice is to listen to people that actually live here. I have been here for almost 20 years so allow me to share my top tips with you on how to indulge in the "dolce vita"

There’s something so special about taking a few moments away from everyone else, just the two of you. 🤍

Whether it’s a first look before the ceremony or a quiet second dress reveal before the party begins, these little pauses in the day matter so much.

Your wedding day goes by so quickly.
And sometimes the most meaningful moments are the quiet ones in between, a chance to breathe, laugh together and realise “we’re actually here.”

And the best part?

You can fully relax knowing I’ve got you. While you’re enjoying the moment, I’m behind the scenes making sure everything else is flowing exactly as it should.
Because yes, the beautiful photos matter but how the moment felt matters even more.

The groom’s morning deserves just as much thought.

I always suggest keeping it simple and relaxed.

A swim or a light run, a late brunch with your closest friends, perhaps a shave or trim at a trusted local barber, and then stepping out of the sun to stay cool and comfortable as the day builds.

It might sound small, but these choices make a real difference especially in the Italian heat.
When the morning is well-paced, everything that follows feels easier.
