Cold Feet on My Wedding Dress

My wedding is two weeks away and I'm feeling a lot of anxiety and second thoughts about my wedding dress. I don't know if it's just because of my body dysmorphia, ADHD, the fact that I have just seen my dress so many times, or something else. What are your honest thoughts on my dress and how it fits the vibe of the wedding and me? My wedding aesthetic is autumn/vintage/ethereral/bohemian. It's a small backyard wedding. Yes I know it's too late to change dresses lol. I just need outsiders opinions that aren't just my loved ones!

Thanks in advance!!

Shapewear recs to hide belly button without making rolls?

Looking for shapewear recommendations and advice.

My tailor has already added extra fabric to the dress to help smooth things out, but she said the only way to hide more of what’s showing is with shapewear.

I’m a little self-conscious about my stomach, especially my belly button, which tends to show through more fitted clothing. I also carry some weight in my back, so whenever I wear shapewear that stops around my ribs, it creates a noticeable bulge that I find even more frustrating.

The challenge is that my dress is strapless with a lower neckline, so I can’t wear my favorite shapewear. I’ve already tried Spanx and Honeylove, but neither worked well for me and both created the same bulging issue.

Has anyone found shapewear that works well under a low-cut strapless dress and provides smoothing without creating new problem areas? I’d love recommendations from anyone who has dealt with something similar.

It’s not that I regret my dress, it’s just not what I thought I would get

So this is the dress I bought. I really like and I felt really comfortable in it, which was part of the reason I got it. I thought I would end up with more sparkles than lace. We are having a garden wedding so I think this will work well, just need some opinions :) thank you

Dress too tight… or am I just overthinking it?

I need some honest opinions because I can’t stop staring at my dress and second-guessing everything.

My seamstress keeps telling me it fits perfectly and that the pull lines I’m seeing are just a result of the fabric and the structured, fitted style. She doesn’t seem concerned at all. But every time I look at it, I notice a little pulling and some bunching around the waist, and now I’m wondering if something is off.

I even asked if it could be let out a little more to smooth everything out, but she said it would be extremely difficult, if not impossible.

The confusing part is that it doesn’t actually feel tight. I can move comfortably, breathe normally, sit, and zip it myself without any struggle. Physically, it feels fine. Visually, though, I keep questioning whether it’s fitting the way it should.

Now I’m stuck wondering if this is simply how structured, form-fitting dresses look on real bodies, or if it technically fits but could still be fitting better.

If your seamstress told you it was fine, would you trust her and leave it alone? Or would you keep pushing for changes?

I’d really appreciate some honest opinions because I’m running out of time and don’t know if I’m seeing a real problem or creating one in my head.

Is this dress fixable by September?

I got my dress back after I bought it, and the designer herself made the skirt for me and sent it back for the fitting before alterations. The issue is that I feel like the skirt is all different now that I am looking at the photos.

The first pic is my dress, the first is what I tried on

I feel like the flowers in the first skirt are smaller and so much fuller. The flowers in the second look much larger and more sparse. Also, my waist is visible in the first and is hidden in the flowers in the current dress.

Could a seamstress fix this? It took 6 months to make, and now I am getting married in September. I still think it is pretty, but its not the same dress that I fell in love with.

Will I regret my black dress?

I’ve always imagined myself in a white dress but many people have stated they picture me wearing black and that it’s more “me”. Yes I have more of a gothic style but I always thought I’d regret wearing black because it wouldn’t feel like a “wedding dress” I feel like most black wedding dresses I see could also just be fancy black dresses but you always think wedding when you see an white gown. The only black dress I’ve ever really loved was this one I saw on an IG reel like 5 years ago. It didn’t have a name or designer or anything. It’s just beautiful but never thought I’d find it till I got engaged and my mom was determined to find it. Turns out it was a dress from 2016 and only one store in California had it and after a 3 hour drive I tried it on and I fell in love. It’s more beautiful than I can imagine but now that I’ve been thinking and seeing more dresses online I worry I’m gonna regret not wearing white. I’m worried I’ll miss out on the feeling of being in that white dress and feeling like a bride. It also doesn’t help that my future sister in law’s first comment was “since you’re wearing black that means I get to wear white” which idk just got me thinking about if I should just wear white after all so no matter what I’ll look like a bride. I’m worried I’m letting too many opinions get in my head as a chronic people pleaser HELP

Need a little reassurance !

I shared my dress with the girls in bridal party and a couple haven’t said anything. Am I missing something glaringly atrocious about this dress? It needs to be taken in a bit and I know it’s nothing breathtakingly gorgeous, but I’m not a super flashy person. Worried I might have horrible taste.

Final dress doesn't feel the same :(

After six rounds of alterations, I picked up my dress today and now I’m having second thoughts 😞

Seeing the before and after side by side has me questioning everything. When I first tried it on in the bridal shop, I absolutely loved it. But the dress they ordered was much larger than my sample size, and now I can’t shake the feeling that it’s not laying as flatteringly as it did in the store.

One of the biggest changes we made was to the back. I do actually like the new back because it no longer digs in the way it used to, but now I’m wondering if that change is also part of why the dress seems to have lost some of the shape I originally loved.

I’m planning to try tying the back as tightly as possible to see if it brings some of that shape back, but honestly I don’t know how I feel anymore.

The hard part is that my wedding is next week, so there’s really not much time left for additional alterations even if I wanted them.

Am I overthinking this because I’ve been staring at it for months, or does anyone else see what I’m seeing? Any advice is welcome.

Just got my dress back from alterations. Are the seams on the front up too high now?

Am I wrong in thinking the seamstress should have noticed?
