🇮🇹Su un tavolo, un filo d’olio verde smeraldo, ancora torbido, cola su una fetta di pane caldo tagliata spessa. Il primo morso pizzica leggermente in gola.

Poco prima nel frantoio: guardi le cassette svuotarsi e senti quell'odore denso che riempie l'aria poche settimane all'anno.

A mezzogiorno, seduto all'ombra di un ulivo, con un bicchiere di vino rigorosamente siciliano, le risate e il pane cunzato.

La mattina presto, le braccia tra i rami, le olive che cadono sulle reti nere, l'aria fresca di collina e il canto degli uccellini.

E prima ancora di tutto questo, ci sei tu: chiudi lo schermo del computer, spegni le notifiche, è il momento di riconnetterti alla natura.

I weekend del 8 al 11 ottobre e dal 15 al 18 ottobre apriamo i nostri uliveti e le porte dell'Hotel Ristorante Pomara per vivere questo fine settimana insieme, con le tradizioni millenarie della Sicilia.

Per farlo in famiglia abbiamo tenuto solo 3 camere per weekend (massimo 6 persone).

🇬🇧On a table, a drizzle of emerald-green, freshly pressed olive oil pours over a thick slice of warm bread. The first bite gives that authentic, gentle peppery kick in the back of the throat.

Just before that, inside the local mill: watching the crates empty into the press and breathing in that dense aroma that fills the air only a few weeks each year.

At midday, sitting in the shade of an olive tree with a glass of authentic Sicilian w**e, shared laughter, and fresh pane cunzato.

Early morning: reaching into the branches, the sound of olives hitting the nets, the crisp hill breeze, and birdsong.

And before all of this, there is you: closing your laptop, turning off notifications, deciding it is time to reconnect with nature.

On October 8–11 and October 15–18, we are opening our olive groves and the doors of Hotel Ristorante Pomara to share this weekend together, surrounded by the timeless traditions of Sicily.

To keep it truly intimate and family-style, we have reserved only 3 rooms per weekend (maximum 6 guests).

Ci ha sorpreso leggere alcune risposte, la nonna quasi non ci credeva: l'attività più votata è stata la Raccolta delle Olive 🫒
Che magnifico incrocio di Stelle.

In questi questi giorni siamo tornati tra i nostri ulivi per dare un'occhiata. Il nostro lavoro sul campo è finito, adesso aspettiamo che il sole e il vento facciano il loro portando le olive a maturazione per Ottobre.

Experience stiamo ultimando ogni dettaglio per farti vivere i campi e i paesi vicini sulle tracce dell'olio oliva.

What a wonderful alignment of the Stars.

These past days we went back to our olive groves to take a look. Our fieldwork is done, now we’re waiting for the sun and wind to do their part, bringing the olives to ripeness for October.

In the meantime, together with the OTTA Experience team, we’re putting the finishing touches on every detail to let you experience the fields and nearby villages, following the trail of olive oil.

Oggi ci siamo fermati un momento sulla nostra terra a San Michele di Ganzaria, davanti a un vecchio tronco ricoperto di muschio, la luce filtrava tra le foglie degli ulivi ed era come se ci ricaricasse.

Guardando questa pace, abbiamo pensato a quanto amiamo questo luogo nel cuore della Sicilia.

È la stessa sensazione che vogliamo condividere con te in autunno, quando sarà il momento della raccolta delle olive e della produzione dell'olio.
Per questo stiamo lavorando a qualcosa di nuovo per tutti gli ospiti che vengono a trovarci

Con OTTA Experience vogliamo farti vivere il silenzio della campagna, i pranzi in famiglia e poi le passeggiate tra le Ceramiche di Caltagirone e i Mosaici di Piazza Armerina.

Stiamo definendo in questi giorni gli ultimi dettagli e ci piacerebbe dare forma a questa esperienza anche insieme a te.

Today we paused for a moment on our land in San Michele di Ganzaria, in front of an old moss-covered trunk, surrounded by dry stone walls warmed by the sun. The light filtering through the olive leaves has a color all its own these days.

Looking at this peacefulness, we thought about how much we love this side of Sicily — the real one, far from the postcards. And it’s the same feeling we want to share in autumn, when it’s time for the olive harvest and oil production, with the OTTA Experience. The true rhythms of the countryside, family lunches, and then walks among the ceramics of Caltagirone and the mosaics of Piazza Armerina.

We’re preparing for it these very days, and we’d love to shape this experience together with you too. We’ve put together a short survey, to read together as a family in the evening, to understand what you truly dream of when you imagine a trip to Sicily.
