Proving convergence. Dallara is one of the clearest examples of technology transfer between terrestrial industry and space: the same engineering that wins on the track is already flying in orbit.

Thank you to the team for backing this first edition from the start and bringing such an iconic footprint to the show floor.

Still wondering where your industry fits in the space economy? We will be ready to show you in 2027!

𝐄𝐯𝐞𝐫 𝐰𝐨𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐝 𝐰𝐡𝐲 𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐥𝐝 𝐒𝐩𝐚𝐜𝐞 𝐖𝐞𝐞𝐤 𝐟𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐬 𝐨𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐬𝐞 𝐝𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐬?

On October 4, 1957, Sputnik 1 became the first human-made object to orbit the Earth. On October 10, 1967, the Outer Space Treaty entered into force, laying down the first shared rules for what nations could and couldn’t do up there. In 1999 the United Nations linked the two dates, and the week has been celebrated every year since.

This year’s theme is Rocket Revolution: reusable boosters, new launch providers and a commercial market that has changed who gets to reach orbit, and at what price. Sending a kilogram to space now costs roughly 90% less than it did twenty years ago. That figure matters far beyond the launch pad, because it’s the barrier to entry coming down for every industry that once assumed space had nothing to do with it.

At BEX - Beyond Exploration Expo, we put that idea to the test. 147 brands, 25 startups in the Open Innovation district and 340 B2B meetings between space companies and terrestrial industries later, it’s hard to call the space economy a niche anymore. The demand was there, on both sides of the table, and it was ready long before we opened the doors.

𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐟𝐢𝐫𝐬𝐭 𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐩𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐢𝐬 𝐰𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐧

The very first edition of BEX - Beyond Exploration Expo has come to a close, and it leaves behind a clear answer: the space economy is no longer an abstract idea or a sector that keeps to itself. It's real infrastructure, already at work for global industry.

Over three days in Rimini, we proved it together. Every time space technology met a real-world need, the conversation shifted from "what if" to "when can we start", and the opportunities turned out to be far more than anyone had imagined.

Thank you to every exhibitor, partner, speaker and visitor who was part of this journey.

Next stop: fall 2027. Until then, swipe through to relive the best moments of BEX - Beyond Exploration Expo 2026 📸

𝐁𝐄𝐗 - 𝐁𝐞𝐲𝐨𝐧𝐝 𝐞𝐱𝐩𝐥𝐨𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐄𝐱𝐩𝐨 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔 𝐢𝐬 𝐚𝐥𝐦𝐨𝐬𝐭 𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫. 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐣𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐧𝐞𝐲 𝐢𝐬 𝐣𝐮𝐬𝐭 𝐠𝐞𝐭𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐞𝐝 🌍🚀

Three days ago, space and terrestrial industries were two worlds that rarely crossed paths. Today they leave Rimini with new connections, new projects to build together and a clearer picture of a future where one can't grow without the other.

Start-ups and incubators at the same table as institutions, where the future of Italy's space economy is being shaped. Energy systems built for space and for the grids we rely on here. Satellite data becoming something anyone can learn to read and put to work. Companies, universities and young talent talking about the skills this industry will need next.

The first edition of BEX - Beyond Exploration Expo is almost done, but the road ahead is open: let's see together how far it takes us.

𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐢𝐟 𝐲𝐨𝐮'𝐫𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐦𝐢𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐩𝐢𝐞𝐜𝐞? 🧩🚀

At Space Voices, science and tech communicators, entrepreneurs, aerospace engineers and astrophysicists sat together to talk about a new kind of influence: one that doesn't stop at visibility, but turns curiosity into action.

What emerged is simple and powerful. Mix different worlds. Dare to try. Think bigger. Because you might be exactly the missing piece of the puzzle to bring new technologies and innovations to life, innovations that will create value for those who come after us, for the whole world, for humanity.

Thank you to Antonio Iannone, Chiara Brunetti, Gian Luca Comandini, Luca Perri e Vittorio Baraldi for making space visible, understandable and accessible to all, and to Chiara Rossi for moderating the conversation ✨

𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐆𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐥 𝐀𝐬𝐬𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐥𝐲 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐒𝐩𝐚𝐜𝐞 𝐄𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐨𝐦𝐲 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐬 𝐭𝐨 𝐁𝐄𝐗

Today BEX - Beyond Exploration Expo is proud to host a session of the third edition of the General Assembly of the Space Economy, promoted by the IPSE - Intergruppo Parlamentare Space Economy. It's the institutional forum where Italy discusses the direction of its space economy, and for a first-edition show, being chosen as one of its stops says a lot about the role BEX wants to play.

The session taking place today focuses on start-ups, microenterprises and incubators. Small, agile companies are becoming a crucial part of the ecosystem, often the ones developing satellite applications, value-added services and entirely new value chains connected to space. But with technology moving this fast and international competition growing, creativity alone doesn't carry them far enough.

That's why the discussion centers on what makes growth possible: targeted financial instruments, access to infrastructure, and stronger collaboration between universities, research centers and leading industrial players.

Aerospace isn't just a high-tech sector. It's a system built on complexity, where knowing your field is only the starting point and the real challenge is integrating knowledge, managing uncertainty and keeping entire production networks aligned.

That's the transformation the Main Stage opened Day 3 with. Organized by Alma Mater Studiorum - Università di Bologna and , the roundtable looked at where Italian aerospace skills are heading: engineers who can hold a conversation outside their discipline, designers able to orchestrate complex processes, professionals who pair technical depth with relational intelligence. And what that means for how universities teach, how companies organize and how people grow inside them.

Moderated by Lorenzo Ciapetti (Tecnopolo Forlì-Cesena), the panel brought together Franco Bernelli Zazzera (Politecnico di Milano), Domenico Accardo (Università degli Studi di Napoli Federico II), Pasquale D'Amico (Italian Air Force Academy), Giovanna Labartino (Centro Studi Confindustria), Hady Milani (European Institute of Innovation for Sustainability - EIIS) and Anna Pia Spada (SITAEL).

A fitting start for a day dedicated to the people who will carry the space economy forward.
