We had our wedding in Ravello in September of 2019 and it was absolute perfection ! Our wedding planners, Mario Capuano and Annamaria Staiano made everything super easy for us, even as I was planning long distance from Florida. They answered any and every question I had and rather than worrying about not hearing from them consistently, they actually kept checking up on me when I slacked off (which was very appreciated from a procrastinating bride) ! You feel like your wedding is the only one they're working on because of their attention to detail. All of our guests were stunned by how beautiful Villa Eva was, and the food was out of this world ! If you're worried about not being able to sample the food beforehand, DON'T BE. On the actual day, everything ran seamlessly. I can honestly say if I had the chance to do the whole thing over again I wouldn't change a thing, they made everything perfect. Our photos and videos are absolutely gorgeous thanks to the team they work with, Enrico Capuano and Pier Canta. Overall I cannot recommend this wonderful team enough, they made our wedding better than I could have imagined.
If you want a fairytale stress free wedding day then look no further than Mario Capuano. From the minute we contacted him he was quick, reliable and professional. He would often reply to my late night emails within seconds and always had a solution to everything. AnnaMaria staiano added a perfect woman’s touch to the decor and layout of what we wanted, making our dream a reality. The food was beautiful and the stunning grounds took our guests breath away, it was a day they will never forget! We were also delighted with Enrico Capuanos photographs and Pier Cants videography, they were barely noticed throughout the day and I couldn’t be more happy with the finishing results. Wagner tours are a dream team, I felt so at ease with them planning everything and made my life so easy with the lead up as they think of absolutely every detail and guide you through what needs to be done. The Duomo di Ravello church was beautiful for our ceremony, we had a string quartet and it was like something from a movie! We got married in Ravello on August 10, 2019 and there are no words to describe how perfectly that day has gone!
Mario and Annamaria have planned everything to the T and they have very patiently met all our requests and desires (both my husband and I are very demanding people and both of us had their own quirks!)
It has been a really unique experience planning things together and we really felt that they were so engaged and passionate that it seemed they were planning their own children wedding!
Just to give you a sense of the complexity: we had 130 guests coming from all over the world and, not only they had to find accommodations for most of them, but they did also have to plan (I) drinks for the day before the wedding; (ii) a catholic ceremony (with all paperwork that follows); (iii) and an incredible wedding dinner and party! Our guests were so complimentary for the organisation and the overall set up; everyone described our wedding as elegant and classy, exactly as we wanted!
Also, I think it is very important to mention other two standout points:
(I) maitre Angelo was fantastic! He managed to serve 130 people a 5 course dinner in a perfectly timed manner so that no one got bored;
(II) the food was excellent: both my husband and I are Italians and we really care about good food. It was exceptional and all our guests were complimentary; a big thank you to the chef Massimo and the cake maker Francesco!
There could be so many other good things to mention about the florists (tCarmela, Lorenza, Gigino, Carla, Gigi), he make up artist (Adele Cioffi), the music (Giovanni, Filippo, Alfonso and Sandro) etc but I could just summarise everything by saying that if you decide to have Mario and Annamaria as your wedding planners, then you are in absolutely good hands! They will do anything to make your day special!

Mario Capuano and Annamaria Staiano (Wedding Planners) Were professional, quick to respond to emails, and extremely efficient with providing detailed information throughout the wedding planning process. They made arrangements for our guests accommodations, helpful with suggestions, and showcased their expertise at Villa Eva. The day of the wedding was exceptional! The amount of work that Mario and Annamaria did to ensure our vision was achieved is immeasurable. Mario is onsite the entire day coordinating the event and keeping track of all details. The service staff was extremely professional and provided an amazing experience for our guests. The food catered by Villa Maria was presented beautifully and beyond delicious.

To anyone who is unsure of booking their wedding through Mario & Annamaria at Wagner Tours, PLEASE DO IT! I can honestly say that they are not only the absolute best wedding planners I have ever met, but also two of the kindest, sweetest people who will make your dreams into reality! Coming from someone who is known as being super critical and hard to please, I can honestly guarantee that you will have the most magical day of your lives, courtesy of two people who know how to create weddings that most people can only dream of!!!
After months of research, my fiancee and I decided on a destination wedding in Ravello and were trying to find a wedding planner locally that could help us plan our big day. After reaching out to some other planners and receiving quotes for either absorbent planner fees or very vague answers about pricing, we were a bit concerned that our dream of an Italian destination wedding might not be realistic. After reading so many positive TripAdvisor reviews, we reached out to Mario and Annamaria with Wagner Tours to get more information. From the moment we first heard back from them, we knew we were in excellent hands. Both Mario and Annamaria are extremely professional, friendly and sent a detailed spreadsheet with all of the potential wedding costs and options up front as well as the cost of their service (which is EXTREMELY minimal considering all of the work that they do!). Nothing was hidden or unclear, and from then onwards we knew that we had to have them help us plan our special day.
Planning a wedding without seeing the venue, location or meeting the wedding planners seemed a bit daunting at first, but both Annamaria and Mario made us feel completely at ease and confident through their detailed and super speedy responses to all of our MANY questions. Everything was very professional, and also organized regarding payment. We never worried or were unsure of where our money was going, and were provided with detailed receipts. We have joked that neither of them sleep and must be robots, working weddings every day and still responding to us within an hour of every email sent, no matter what the time difference, day or night! After a year and a half of planning and over 300 emails later, they were still happy to answer every question no matter how big or small, all to make us feel confident and excited.
To give some insight, I have always thought that I am an incredibly organized person, and have never met anyone who is as organized as I am - until we began working with Annamaria and Mario! They were on top of everything, sending detailed emails with spreadsheets showcasing detailed costs, recommendations and reminders when it was time to decide on music, flowers etc. Everything they recommended was absolutely perfect. We would send them photos of our ideas, and they made our dreams a reality while sticking to our budget. Everything was simple and stress free, which is something I never imagined I would be lucky enough to say! They even assisted in organizing accommodations for our guests, airport transfers, a boat tour to Capri (absolutely magical and a must do via Amalfi Boats that Mario recommended) and more!
When we finally arrived in Ravello a few days before our wedding, we were in awe of the beautiful surroundings. Arriving for our pre-wedding meeting with Mario and Annamaria, we felt as if we were meeting close family rather than our wedding planners. Mario and Annamaria are truly two of the kindest, most genuine people we have ever met, and their passion and love for weddings was evident from the moment we started chatting. They are EXPERTS, and took hours to walk through everything we had confirmed for the wedding day, talking through final details and walking us to Villa Eva to show us what our dream day would look like. I had a list of items to go over that I didn’t even need to worry about, all because they already covered every question before I needed to even ask. They have been the town wedding planners in Ravello for so many years that they have personal relationships with all of the vendors they work with, which means that they are able to ensure everything is flawless. They recommended everyone from photographer Enrico Capuano, videographer Pier Canta, hairdressers, makeup artist, taxi driver and more, and all were beyond expectations.
Villa Eva is truly the most magical and beautiful wedding venue we have ever seen. Perched on one of the highest points of the town, it overlooks the coast with views that photos can never do justice of. It made us so emotional to see in person what we had been so excited for and dreaming of for so many months. To say it exceeded our wildest dreams is an understatement!
On the evening before the wedding, Mario and Annamaria helped organize a pizza party welcome dinner for all of our 69 guests at Salvatore’s Restaurant. It was incredible - the views from the dinner area are just stunning, service was fabulous and the food was out of this world! The pizza party was so much fun, and proved to be the perfect opportunity for all of our guests to mingle and get to know each other before the wedding day. This made everything so much more enjoyable and fun for everyone, and we had many guests commending us on what a great event it was. The evening was fabulous, and we had hired Enrico Capuano (our wedding photographer) to take some photos of the evening as well. Pier Canta also came to take some video which we hadn’t expected and was a lovely surprise, making the night even more special. Mario even popped in himself to make sure everything was running smoothly which was so kind.
When the next morning arrived, all I can say about our wedding day is that it was absolutely perfect. We had high expectations to say the least, but nothing could have prepared us for the absolute magic we experienced. Many of our friends and family had said to expect some details to go awry on the day as happens at most weddings, but I can honestly say that EVERYTHING was perfect and exactly as we had dreamed of. Villa Eva was magical, the ceremony space was absolutely out of this world. Annamaria did an incredible job decorating and setting up our tables to look flawless. The flowers were AMAZING, beyond expectations and the setting was truly magical. Enrico and Pier were incredible, making us so comfortable taking beautiful shots to capture our day. We can’t WAIT to see the final photos and video! Mario and Annamaria had the day organized perfectly, and made sure every tiny detail was taken care of. They made it so that we didn’t have to think of anything or worry about any details.
We had organized to do our first look/wedding photos before the ceremony at the gardens of Villa Rufolo, which was the absolute best decision we could have made. It calmed our nerves and allowed us to spend time with Enrico and Pier to get some fabulous shots, and made the day even more special. We then had the ceremony at Villa Eva overlooking the coast, followed by the reception/cocktail hour and evening at Villa Eva to enjoy the fabulous surroundings.
We also had a sandwich and pizza late night bar at midnight which was fantastic, although more food was not needed (we were all stuffed!). Mario organized to-go goodie bags for all of our guests with the leftovers for people to take home as they left the wedding. We had so many people tell us how awesome this was and what a great end to the evening!
All of our guests have told us that our wedding was the most incredible that they have been to, and we felt the exact same way. The food was FANTASTIC (and so plentiful!), venue fabulous, and everything went perfectly until the dream evening ended at 4 am! Mario stayed right until the very end, always making sure everything was running smoothly behind the scenes.
Overall, words truly cannot express how amazing Mario and Annamaria really are, and how thankful we are to both of them for making our dreams come true. We woke up the day after the wedding (in our complementary room at Hotel Giordano from Mario and Annamaria as a wedding gift) feeling only pure joy when reflecting on our wedding day. Grazie Mille per tutto! We miss you and cannot wait to come back and visit!

We got married in Ravello in June 2019, and our wedding was perfection from start to finish.
We couldn't recommend our wedding planner, Mario Capuano, enough. Mario's expertise, contacts and knowledge of the local area meant the majority of the stresses of planning a wedding (a wedding abroad!!) were alleviated. Annnamaria Staiano also deserves a special mention, she too was so helpful, and even sorted all the finishing touches for the day, most of them were ones we didn't think were possible, or didn't even think of!!
I think its important to mention that in the lead up to the big day Mario and team (Annamaria and Simona Capotto) were with us every step, notifying us of what needed planning next, and whenever we had questions, they were answered the very same day. Weddings are stressful but they helped put our minds at ease every time!
Our photographer for the day was Enrico Capuano, who was absolutely brilliant! His creative flair, patience and skills meant we got so many amazing photos, which we had a sneaky preview of on his camera on the day. He took us to some special places in Ravello for our couple's shoot, one of which was definitely unknown to most, as it was deserted but absolutely stunning. Enrico even ended up staying much longer than we had planned initially, which proved even more his absolute dedication to capturing every moment.
Finally, a mention for Da Tatore (Salvatore), who hosted our reception. The food, drinks and service were way beyond our expectations, and the views from the terrace there are breathtaking. Our guests still talk about how incredible everything at Da Tatore was!

Our Magical Wedding Day - 5th September 19 April & Lee
From the minute myself and my partner got in touch with Mario Capuano and Annamaria Staiano about organising our wedding in Ravello- they were both nothing but helpful, organised, and made the organisation process a breeze. A plan was put together instantly with guide prices and things to include and consider for the perfect day.
Both Mario and Annamaria reply with speed via email- and always answer all questions/queries throughout the planning process clearly and make life simple - which is what a bride and groom need during the stressful process of planning a wedding.
Not only did they plan and organise the most magical wedding day- they also organised guests accommodation, a pre pizza party and transfers- making things easier for all of us :)
From helping us chose our beautiful ceremony and reception venues (Belvedere Principessa Di Piedmonte & Villa Eva) - which all of our guests mentioned numerously that it was the most picturesque, stunning setting they have ever seen at a wedding; to arranging our flowers and decoration, our music choices (guitar/mandolin and 2 x dj’s) to our amazing photographer Enrico Capuano- who is the most accommodating and patient person.
Not to mention many other inclusions in our package- all coming together to make the most magical stunning wedding which we are eternally grateful for.
During our debrief before the wedding both Mario Capuano and Annamaria Staiano patiently listened to all of our ideas and decor ideas - bringing them to life on the day - including making our beautiful sparklers and our freshly picked organic lemons making them into our table names- leaving us nothing to worry about making on the day.
I am generally a worrier and a stress head - but with the help of Wagner Tours/Weddings this was not the case. It went so smoothly and not a worry was shed.
And the FOOD/CAKE. Wow. All of our guests commented on the quality and amount provided - often hearing ‘the best food they have ever tried at a wedding’. Thank you to all of the staff included on the day also- so polite, caring and efficient.

We cannot thank Mario Capuano & Annamaria Staiano enough for helping to plan & execute our dream wedding! They made the planning stress free & easy, guiding us every step of the way.
With their help we organised a meal in Scala on the evening before we got married, so all our family & friends could get together which was really fantastic.
Whilst the wedding day itself was truly magical, from the walk to the church and beautiful service, to drinks and canapés in the square, before our walk up to Villa Eva, where we ate the most delicious food, drank beautiful wine & danced the night away, surrounded by breathtaking views and all our family and friends.
Enrico Capuano was our photographer and Pier Canta our videographer, we found they both to be very easygoing, they made us feel comfortable & relaxed & we cannot wait to see our photographs & video!

Our dream wedding come true thanks to Wagner Tours
We had our wedding day 4th September, the perfect day we could have ever wished for!
Having deciding against getting married in England, We did some research online to find somewhere in the Amalfi coast to get married, to which we kept coming across excellent reviews regarding Mario Capuano at Wagner tours, that evening we emailed him quite late and within an hour we already had a reply. He explained to us in detail various options to have at our wedding, and gave us the dates he had available for the following September, including a spreadsheet with all potential costs.
We then decided to visit Ravello with both our mothers a year before so we could get an idea on the weather for September and see what accommodation was nearby for guests etc
Having previously visited Ravello 8years ago with my mum I vaguely remembered the area, but as soon as Daniel and his mum saw the church and villa Eva we all fell in love with it. With a year of emails to each other Mario Capuano and AnnaMaria Staiano were there to help us every step of the way to make our dream wedding come to life, they were both extremely helpful and efficient.
We felt like we were bombarding them with emails but they always got back to us that day, and nothing was too much trouble for them.
Everyone we spoke to in England were so surprised how relaxed we were, having both Mario and AnnaMaria as our wedding planners we felt practically stress free. They helped us every step of the way especially regarding what we needed for the catholic ceremony, and civil part and also kept giving us reminders, so we had enough time for our documents to arrive safely.
We arrived in Ravello 6 days before our wedding, and had the pleasure of meeting them both to go through our final briefing, we felt as though we were meeting friends as they made as feel so relaxed and welcome.
They both guided us through the order of the day and gave us suggestions of how everything should go which were perfect.
When our wedding day finally arrived we can’t even explain how magical it was, the church looked beautiful with the white runner and petals on the floor followed by the flowers at the front.
As soon as our guests saw villa Eva they were in awe, the view looking over the coast as the sun was setting was fabulous. AnnaMaria decorated the venue beautifully down to every last detail, all of her suggestions she made worked wonderfully even to providing petals for our walk through for guests to throw as confetti.
We had Enrico Capuano as our photographer, and Pier Canta for our videographer, as suggestions from Wagner tours they both caught every single moment and detail of our wedding from getting ready to our first dance, we even visited Ruffolo Gardens for some private wedding photos and videos.
For the music we decided guitar and mandolin for half, then the Neapolitan Quintet for the dinner they did not disappoint they had everyone up dancing and singing through out the evening, all of our guests loved it.

and wedding cake were all delicious and plentiful, none of our guests were left hungry and all said how lovely and fresh the food was.
The day felt as though it went so quickly, having wished it didn’t, and our guests couldn’t believe how everything flowed so professionally with both planners taking care of everything that day so we could enjoy it as much as our guests.
We can’t praise Mario Capuano and AnnaMaria Staiano enough for everything that they have done for us during our whole wedding process, without them both we wouldn’t of known where to begin.
They both work so hard to make our dream come true, we trusted them every step of the way and they did not disappoint.
All of our guests have said it’s the best wedding they have ever been too and still can’t stop talking about it.

My husband and I got married in villa Eva in July 2019 and I have to say it was picture perfect our guests had nothing to say other than we had a fairytale wedding and that is exactly what it was.
My husband and I had been in the amalfi coast the year before and decided to take a look at venues for our wedding and villa eva stole our hearts but what also made our decision clear that Ravello was the perfect destination for our wedding was meeting our wedding planners Mario Capuano and Annamaria Staiano without them it would not have been possible to have our dream day in the most stunning location on earth.
I dont have enough words to praise Mario and Annamaria as they really take all the hassle and hard work out of planning a wedding, they are truly experts at what they do and make you feel so comfortable putting your magic day in their hands. I highly recommend them, we did not just gain wedding planners but great friends who we will gladly go back to visit.
Working with Mario we were also able to have Enrico Capuano as our photographer and Pier Canta as our videographer and they did not disappoint our pictures looked like they were from a magazine and our video brought tears or joy to my eyes being able to relive our wedding day again is so magical.

My review is way overdue, but I couldn’t be happier to talk about Mario and his team. Our wedding was May 11, 2019 and we spent about 1 year planning it. Every moment from picking a date and venue to our wedding day was flawless. Being in the wedding industry for years, I was hesitant to pick a wedding planner and did my research. With Mario, there were no surprises, no flaws, no uncertainty. He is upfront with the cost of every detail, so there are no surprises and does whatever he has to do to make things happen. We had a welcome dinner for our guests at Salvatore’s. It was perfect for everyone to meet and the pizza was the best we had on our trip. Ana Maria, was so sweet and helpful. They paid attention to every detail we wanted and worked out the details to make it happen. Enrico Caupano was our photographer and I couldn’t be happier with our pictures and video. He is such a professional and got all the images we wanted. I have pictures from every moment of our wedding, from getting ready to speeches to the reception. We got married at the Duomo and walked to our reception at Villa Eva. We didn’t go to ravello before the wedding or even see the venue until we walked in on our wedding day. It was the most beautiful surprise and made everything extra special. Villa Eva leaves you speechless. The views, the decorations and the ambiance is one of a kind. The staff was top notch, true professionals. The food at Villa Eva was the best we had on our trip. The best decision we made was having a destination wedding in Ravello and choosing Mario to be our planner. I have zero complaints and our experience was truly a dream come true. - In Mario We Trust - Best wedding planner on Amalfi Coast We came from overseas to marry in Villa Eva in Ravello. We were lucky enough to work with Mario Capuano, Annamaria Staiano and Francesca Bonito for our wedding this year. From the point we met Mario and his team in April 2018 to the wedding on 14 June 2019, he has done everything in his power to ensure all our requests were fulfilled for our Villa Eva Wedding. My biggest recommendation is book with this team and release control to these guys know what they are doing, and do it perfectly. There is enough stress with weddings, trust them and they will make stress magically disappear
Quick Summary of qualities i appreciated:
- FAST communication. In Italy things happen at a different pace which will completely stress a bride-to-be. Mario and Annaaria know this - they answer within 24hrs with direct answers. He has a schedule of prices for next to anything you want and isn't offended if you choose another provider.
- Explanation of all the nuances of a wedding in Italy - there are plenty. So having a someone to guide you through it helps A LOT! But remember - you have chosen to get married in Italy - so try to embrace the Italian ways and you'll enjoy your wedding more :-).
- This team walk you through the timing of the day and is around ALL night to ensure things move to schedule. Many planners disappear when the food starts being served. Not Mario - he is on the clock until the last person leaves - at 4am!! Given operators work "italy time" you want someone like Mario there making sure flowers arrive on time, food is served, music is set up - you don't have to worry. Please believe me when i say this is priceless in Italy!!
- Villa Eva (EVERYTHING!) - it looks exactly like the photos. We saw it twice before our big day, and Mario was on hand to answer any queries. Annamaria has an eye for detail for table settings which every bride will be grateful for on her day. Now the food and wine. i like both (a lot!) so i was worried it might not be up to what i would expect. I could not be more further wrong. My guests are STILL talking about the incredible food and wine 6 months after.
- All the extras you forget which Mario looks after - taxi, hotels, restaurants, politely responding to every silly email i /my guests. YES he is happy to answer your guests (within reason) queries directly so that you don’t have to organize them!

After deciding to have our wedding in the beautiful Villa Eva, we were introduced to Mario Capuano and Annamaria Staiano from Wagner Tours. From the moment we met this pair, we felt confident that we could trust them to help us organise the most important day of our lives so far.
Living in London, we were not able to travel back and forth to Italy as much as we might have liked to, so we left almost everything in the professional hands of Mario and Annamaria. In the few months leading up to the wedding we were in contact via numerous emails, most days, and they were always so prompt in replying and keeping us up to date with the progress of our wedding.
It is natural for any couple (especially the Bride) to be a little bit stressed out in the few days before the wedding, but when we arrived in Ravello (three days before the wedding day) both Mario and Annamaria made time to see us, talk to us and reassure us that everything was under control.
I have to say that I have no words to describe just how incredible our wedding day was. From early afternoon, until the early hours of the morning the next day, at least one member of the Wagner Tours team were by mine and/or my husbands side. The photographers/videographers made us feel relaxed and at ease. The venue was decorated to pure perfection. The kind, caring nature of Annamaria calmed my nerves and made me feel almost stress free (she is an angel). And Mario, well what can I say, he is funny, professional, organised and was with us until the bitter end (4AM)!!!
We both wish so much that we could have our wedding all over again. We miss Ravello, Villa Eva and Mario and Annamaria very much! But since we have experienced our perfect fairytale, we hope to encourage anyone else considering a wedding in Ravello that they will NOT be disappointed with the Wagner Tours team.They truly can make dreams come true. Our Wedding in Ravello July 2019 Tariq and Louise
We got married in Ravello on 18th July 2019, which was the culmination of just over a year’s planning. We were relatively late in choosing where we wanted to get married, so we were worried that a year might not be long enough to plan for a wedding abroad but, thankfully, we put our big day in the safe hands of Wagner Tours, Mario and Annamaria.
Once we had decided that we wanted to get married on the Amalfi coast, we looked at a number of different venues and planners, but Mario Capuano at Wagner was our first choice as soon as we knew that we wanted to tie the knot in Ravello. From the moment of our initial query, Mario was responsive and completely transparent in his dealings with us. He e-mailed us almost immediately after we contacted him and provided us with a lot of information before we had even commissioned him to plan our wedding, including a full, detailed breakdown of how much the wedding might cost.
There were no hidden costs and it was clear what we would be able to get for our budget; Mario’s fee was also clearly stated, and it compared very favourably to other quotes that we had received and proved to be excellent value for money. Another big plus was that Wagner Tours is based in Ravello and that all of the planning is delivered by Mario, Annamaria and the team: nothing is subcontracted to other providers and they have a direct, longstanding relationship from everyone involved in the wedding, from the musicians to the waiters, from hotels to taxi drivers.
From day one, Mario made the process of planning very simple for us and it took a huge amount of pressure off our shoulders. We were given the relevant information at the right time, so it never felt like we were having to make lots of decisions all at once; Mario told us when to start the legal process, when to start thinking about meals, when to start to think about what music we would like. We were given fantastic advice, based on years of advice, and great support that helped us and our guests: for example, a lot of our guests booked accommodation directly through Wagner, getting early access to some of the best places to stay at a discounted price.
We were picked up from the airport in Naples by our driver in a modern, air-conditioned coach (booked via Mario) and we were taken to Scala and Ravello, where various members of our wedding party were staying. We stayed in a lovely, big villa in Scala with our family; we booked the villa via Mario and it surpassed our expectations in terms of size and comfort. For 15 people, the villa was very reasonably priced, and the facilities were great, with the kids enjoying the pool and the games room, including table tennis table.
In the few days before the wedding, we took a few trips into Ravello to meet up with friends and family, as well as finally meeting Mario and Annamaria at their office in Ravello. We had a short meeting with Mario on the Monday before the wedding and we managed to have a look at Villa Eva, where we were having our reception. At the Villa, we met with Annamaria and we had the chance to look around and get an idea of what the venue would look like on our big day. The Villa is breath-taking and Annamaria and the team do a fantastic job of dressing and decorating it for weddings.
On the morning of the day before the wedding, we met with Mario at his office in Ravello and completed the legal declaration at the Town Hall. We had already completed our legal documentation back in the UK, following the guidance we had been given by Mario. All of the paperwork had been sent through to Italy a few months before and this meant that the process at the Town Hall was quick and efficient.
Having completed the necessary steps to ensure that our wedding would be legally recognised back home, Mario walked us through the wedding day: where to go, where to meet our guests, what to expect at the venues. This was incredibly reassuring, and Mario ensures that you don’t have to worry about anything on your big day, other than turning up at the right place at the right time - everything is planned to the smallest detail. Back at the Wagner office, we finalised the last of the arrangements – we had already printed things like name cards and table plans, and Annamaria took care of the rest, including making sure we had copies of our readings for the wedding and confirming who would sit where at the meal. When we left the office about an hour later, we were both relaxed that every final detail had been considered and that we had put our trust in the right people.
On the Wednesday evening before the wedding, we had arranged a pizza party for our guests – again, booked via Mario – at Salvatore’s in Ravello. We were a little unsure about whether to do this when we were planning the wedding, but we were so glad that we did. It was an amazing evening and gave us an opportunity to meet all of our guests before the day of the wedding. The food was incredible, and the venue was stunning, looking out over the sea as the sun set on the Amalfi coast. We would definitely recommend this to anyone else getting married in Ravello – it gave our guests the chance to meet each other, for old friends to catch up and for new friends to be made. It also meant that when it came to the day of the wedding, the guests knew each other and made the whole occasion more enjoyable. From our point of view, it allowed us to see our guests before the wedding, rather than just for a few hours on the big day.
The wedding day itself was meticulously planned. Our guests met near to the Principessa di Piemonte gardens where we were due to get married, as instructed by Mario. Everyone had an opportunity to have a drink in the sunshine and chat to the people they had met the night before. Shortly before 5pm, the groom and the guests went to sit in the gardens where the ceremony was held; the flowers and the chairs were laid out beautifully and everything looked amazing. The ceremony was orchestrated expertly by Mario and things ran like clockwork.
Following the ceremony, we walked down to the main square in Ravello, where we had organised a toasting party via Mario; this was a great idea and it gave our guests the opportunity to enjoy another drink and some canapes, whilst we went to the Villa Rufolo with Enrico, our photographer, to have some photographs taken. Enrico is an expert photographer – and an incredibly nice guy – and he made us feel completely at ease. He showed us a few of the shots that he took of us and they looked spectacular; we can’t wait to get our final prints in a few weeks’ time.
From the toasting ceremony, we walked with our guests to Villa Eva for the reception. The Villa was spectacular and Annamaria had done an excellent job at decorating and dressing it. Our guests were blown away by the location and also the level of service of the staff at the Villa. There was an abundance of drinks and food waiting for us when we arrived (a theme that continued throughout the day and evening), with all tastes catered for, including gluten-free options for some of our guests. The children at the wedding had lots of room to run around and particularly enjoyed the giant chess set.
Enrico was happy for us to take a few staged photographs with guests, as well as some photos of us on the rooftop of Villa Eva, capturing the unbelievable 360-degree views of Ravello and the Amalfi coast. After that, he worked his magic mainly in the background, capturing the rest of the evening in an unobtrusive way.
The dining area looked incredible and, again, Annamaria and her team had done a super job with the tables and flowers. The meal itself was something else; five courses of delicious Italian cuisine, delivered with style and with second helpings. The wine that was provided as part of the meal seemed to be bottomless and glasses were not allowed to be emptied by the attentive Villa Eva staff. We cannot speak highly enough of how good the Villa Eva staff were; the service was efficient but friendly, and the chefs were even happy to tweak the childrens menu for the slightly fussier eaters. Nothing was too much hassle and they kept everything running smoothly throughout the whole day.
Having finished the meal, we had our first dance and cut the cake outside before getting the party started with our outdoor DJ. We had provided a playlist a few months before, as advised by Mario, and the DJ had crafted a great set that kept everyone dancing outside, and then inside after midnight. We were pleased that we had put money behind the bar and it was our way of thanking our guests for making the effort to come to Italy to enjoy our day with us.
When the final guests left at 3am, we went back to the Hotel Giordano to enjoy our wedding night in the complimentary room provided for us by Mario; the room was beautiful, and the hotel had dressed the bed with swans, made from towels, and rose petals. It was a lovely way to end what had been the best day of our lives.
It’s taken a month or so to write this review because we’ve been on a wedding comedown for weeks! The week of our wedding could not have been better, and we owe it all to our guests, and especially to Mario, Annamaria and the Wagner Team for being the best wedding planners that we could have hoped for. No task was too big, no detail too small for them to deal with; they were there for us from day 1 to the day after the wedding, making us feel special and making sure that our time in Ravello was better than we could have ever imagined. WOW where do I start, if you want the perfect wedding Mario and his team will make sure they do everything they can to provide this.... all of my friends warned me about how organising a wedding is so stressful, but with the full help of Mario this stress was taken away (the only thing I had to do was make sure my guests were coming).. many people in there reviews have said they visited the venue beforehand, my husband and I did not do this as we wanted a surprise, many people told me it was a big risk, however we did not see it like that, we just wanted to remember our perfect day and venue for what we saw on that day only, it was our first trip to Italy the week of our wedding and we were blown away but how magical everything looked All of our guests said it was the most amazing wedding they have ever been too, and are still talking about it now, I wish I could do it all over again (hopefully not though haha) Thank you Mario, Annmarie and all of the team, you honestly made our dream come true and we will be forever thankful Kirsty & Ollie
