These photos look like they belong in a movie, but they’re actually Jennifer & Charles’s wedding in Portugal. 🤍

There’s something about this part of Portugal in early June that makes everything feel a little unreal. The gardens at Pestana Palace were completely in bloom, with pink and purple flowers surrounding the historic architecture, while the afternoon light was the perfect finishing touch.

Jennifer & Charles’s day started in Porto, getting ready at the 18th-century Palácio do Freixo overlooking the Douro, before continuing south to Lisbon for an intimate ceremony at Pestana Palace with their closest people.

Two palaces, two cities, and an itinerary planned around experiencing Portugal at its most beautiful.

It’s also one of the reasons early June is such a lovely time for a destination wedding in Portugal. You get that unmistakable beginning-of-summer feeling, without quite being in the middle of the high season.

For Jennifer & Charles, Portugal was the perfect setting for a celebration with soul.

Built in the early 1700s as the private home of Medici sculptor Massimiliano Soldani Benzi, Villa Petrolo has been part of the Tuscan landscape for centuries.

Today, the historic villa sits among vineyards, olive groves and ancient cypresses, at the heart of a working organic wine estate. Just across from the villa, the Romanesque Pieve di Galatrona adds another layer of history to the setting.

For Skylr & Crystal, this centuries-old Tuscan estate became the setting for an intimate celebration filled with pastel peonies, beautiful details and the kind of moments that make a wedding feel completely personal. ✨
