✨ The first edition of the World Tech Conference 2026 has come to a close.

Over three days, the conference brought together institutions, researchers, industry leaders and innovators from around the world, fostering dialogue on the technologies shaping the future—from Artificial Intelligence and Quantum Computing to High Performance Computing, Energy, Cybersecurity and Blockchain.

✨ Day Two at the World Tech Conference 2026 continued the dialogue on the technologies shaping our future.

🌍 The second day opened with a keynote by Henna Virkkunen, Executive Vice-President of the European Commission for Technological Sovereignty, Security and Democracy, setting the stage for discussions on Europe's technological future, innovation and digital sovereignty.

🤝 A key milestone of the day was the signing of the Volta Declaration for Quantum, Artificial Intelligence and Sovereign Computing Infrastructures, aimed at strengthening Italy's position in the global technology landscape. Bringing together institutions, academia and industry, the declaration lays the foundations for a more integrated and competitive innovation ecosystem.

The declaration was signed by Alessio Butti, Undersecretary to the Presidency of the Council with responsibility for Technological Innovation and Digital Transition, together with CNR, Confindustria, Centro Alessandro Volta, National Quantum Science and Technology Institute, Q-Alliance, D-Wave Quantum Inc., Sielte S.p.A., Almaviva S.p.A. and Enel.

🌍 Set against the backdrop of Allianz MiCo in Milan, the opening day of the conference bringing together world-renowned scientists, industry leaders and institutions to discuss the new global technological landscape, Europe's role, and the transformations reshaping science, innovation and society.
