Lola Kay Born in Minsk and based in Barcelona, Lola Kay is a Dj and producer. Her percussive sets blend raw and hypnotic techno with hardgroove.

She is part of House Of (S)punk and YO·YO collectives, becoming one of the most promising talents in the local scene.

Experimental Soundscapes

Last night I had a wildest but the most beautiful dream about house music, NYC in the 80s and somehow Madonna 😅
Curiously enough that led me to re listen this mix I recorded one morning a few weeks ago for no particular reason, just practice, experimenting with different styles, sounds and textures, sound designs I like and find interesting outside usual 4 to the floor techno music.

Interestingly this more experimental music journey still kinda goes through housy, groovy jazzy moment as well , just can’t help it 🤭 To the roots of it all

1 year older today, 100 years wiser

Today looking back I’m feeling very proud of this little girl.
Since she was 11 she had a dream “To make people dance” (one way or another). That’s when I fell in love with electronic music and started collecting records and throwing my lil home parties.

And somehow all the roads that I traveled, from China to Antarctica, always led me to exactly Same place. The dream never changed, it just expanded and scaled up.

I’m proud of her for never giving up on it, never wavering, staying true and honest and always leading with love.

Now I finally feel home and that it’s only the beginning

Grateful for people in my life, for everyone supporting me and challenging me to get better.

The night that Im gonna remember forever. Thanks to everyone who danced, who sweated it all out on the dance floor, friends and colleagues who came to support, everyone who reached out after set and of course to the crew of the club 🫶

I have such special memories about that one 🥹

Though the room was completely full in less than 2 minutes and party was already packed and banging in the other room, I decided to still build it up slowly, starting with atmosphere and building it over time. And it felt amazing how responsive the crowd was , it felt practically like we were breathing in unison. Love when that happens 🤍

1 of May Hamahalle closing was something else entirely!
I knew it was a big night but never expected sooooo many people, so much energy bubbling in one place.

It felt just right when i was asked to extend the set 1h more and would go for even longer 💗 Thank you for lovely messages and words and the insane gift (my little Berghain). Was amazing to see many friends and meet new ones. So special!

To keep this memory alive for longer I will be uploading the recording of the mix to SoundCloud later this week 💋
