After an intense and competitive process with 284 ideas submitted, we have completed the selection of teams for the Democracy’s Firewall Hackathon, taking place at the Council of Europe’s headquarters in Strasbourg, France.

🌍 Selected teams come from across the Council of Europe member states, including:
🇦🇱 Albania | 🇫🇷 France | 🇬🇪 Georgia | 🇮🇹 Italy | 🇲🇩 Moldova | 🇲🇪 Montenegro | 🇳🇴 Norway | 🇵🇹 Portugal | 🇷🇸 Serbia
Each selected team will travel free of charge to Strasbourg to take part in this unique experience, battling for the top spot and a €3,000 prize 💰🏆.
This hackathon is more than a competition; it's a call to action for young minds to defend democracy in the digital age.

🚀 The Shaka-kachi Hackathon Was a Blast!
What an incredible few days of innovation, collaboration, and purpose-driven problem-solving in London, Frankfurt, and Dubai—powered by SMBCI! 💡✨
From lightning-round brainstorming to groundbreaking solutions, the energy at the Shaka-kachi Hackathon was brilliant. Teams didn’t just innovate—they tackled real-world challenges, focusing on creating social value and designing ideas with meaningful impact.
The journey reached an exciting climax with a Dragon’s Den-style competition, where six outstanding teams presented their solutions. The level of innovation made it incredibly difficult for the judges to decide! 🔥🏆

We kicked off the Warm-up phase of this Hackathon with an engaging online session, bringing together participants from across Europe to explore the challenges and opportunities in the justice sector.

We are proud to announce that Kreativdistrikt has once again been awarded the tender from the Council of Europe to design and deliver the "Digital Future of Justice" initiative.

Following last year's successful ex*****on in Paris, our team is excited to bring this groundbreaking project to Bologna. As part of the TJENI project, this initiative aims to enhance human rights protection through innovative digital solutions. Last year's hackathon gathered bright minds from across Europe to develop tools that streamline judicial processes and support the implementation of human rights standards.

This year, we look forward to continuing this important work, fostering collaboration between legal and tech experts to create impactful solutions for the justice system.
