Beauty is a form of devotion.
In Glastonbury, tucked among flowers and ancient stones on Magdalene Street, St Margaret's Chapel has held the memory of Mary Magdalene for centuries.
For me, beauty has always been entwined with devotion. Shades, textures, moments and gestures weave together into a thread of care, of love.
When I wear the purple of Avalon and flowers in my hair, I feel as though I am touching eternity with a fingertip. Holding a fragrant rose in my hands brings me back to the mysticism of Mary Magdalene, to a love unfolding into mystery.
This too is part of my personal and spiritual path: to cultivate beauty in all things, as a precious gift from creation, and to carry it from the stars into everyday life.
Because beauty is a form of love.
And perhaps, too, a form of prayer.
