I’ve started noticing that these evenings shape the entire weekend.

Not because they’re carefully planned.

But because they create that rare feeling that everyone already belongs.

The hardest part of a wedding is often the part you never see.
There are wedding moments that look effortless in photographs.
This was one of them.

What you don’t see in these images is how much work happened behind the scenes before Antony and Julia could finally celebrate their marriage in the church they had chosen.

At one point, we weren’t even sure that the ceremony they had envisioned would be possible.

So there were many emails, phone calls, documents, visits and conversations that never made it into these photographs.

But that is often the part of my work I value most.

Finding a way forward when the answer isn’t straightforward. Understanding what really matters to my couples, working within the rules, and making sure that by the time their wedding day arrives, all they have to do is be present and enjoy it.

Looking at these images now, you would never know how much happened before this moment.

And perhaps that’s exactly the point.

A wedding reception should feel like stepping into a story.
For this celebration, every element was intentionally designed to create movement, emotion, and discovery. Each table featured its own floral identity, with different colors, textures, and blooms, inviting guests to experience the space from a new perspective wherever they were seated.

As Lauren and Paolo walked through the room to toast with their guests, the reception became more than a dinner. It became a shared experience, filled with connection, conversation, and celebration.

Because the most memorable weddings aren’t defined by trends, they’re defined by the people they were designed for.

For Mary Evelyn, Villa Aurelia was never just a wedding venue. It represented a connection to her academic journey, her love for history, beauty and culture. It reflected her personality: delicate yet determined, elegant yet strong.

After a year and a half of planning, seeing her walk through those halls as a bride filled my heart with joy. Not only because the day had finally arrived, but because I could not imagine her anywhere else.

Some places have a way of becoming part of who we are. They hold our memories, our ambitions, our dreams.

And on that day, Villa Aurelia became the setting where all of hers came together.

She looked like a princess, not the kind from fairy tales waiting to be rescued, but a modern princess: a woman who knew exactly where she wanted to be, who worked hard to get there, and who was celebrating love in a place that truly felt like home.

Eternal Rome, Modern Love | In the heart of Rome, this wedding transformed classic elegance into something modern and sophisticated. San Paolo entro le Mura welcomed the ceremony with its majestic historic presence, while the reception at Villa Aurelia glowed with golden light, crisp white tablescapes, and sculptural floral arrangements. The monochromatic palette, candlelight, and clean lines defined a style that felt contemporary, refined, and timeless. From the ceremony to Villa Aurelia, everything seemed suspended in a soft, cinematic light.
