In May 2015, we received our very first request from a client to organize a surprise photoshoot for his marriage proposal in Florence. What was already very common in the United States was still quite unusual here in Italy.

After publishing it on our website, more and more clients - especially Americans, but not only - began contacting us not just for the photos, but also to ask for advice on the best locations for their proposal.

Today, 11 years later, it has become one of our most requested services, and also the one where we get to witness the most genuine and heartfelt reactions.

Some of those couples later returned to Florence, now married, with their children and families. It’s wonderful to keep in touch with them and to know we helped create memories that will stay with their families forever.

🇬🇧 6 years ago, around this time, Italy came to a standstill. The first lockdown changed our lives: the way we worked, met each other, and stayed connected even from afar.

At the time, we gathered memories of challenges, resilience, and small acts of everyday solidarity. We don’t post very often here.
Those of you who have been following us for a long time already know it.
We’ve been working for more than 15 years, and we’ve always preferred depth over frequency - real connections, the ones that happen during our sessions or through email, over constant noise.

Social media hasn’t always felt like a safe or comfortable place for us. At times it can be divisive, loud, even verbally harsh. For this reason, we haven’t been active on our personal profiles for years, and if it weren’t for our work, we probably would have closed them already. We were afraid of bringing that same atmosphere into our own space.

Looking back, we recognize this as our responsibility. Fear kept us from being more present and more open.
But we also know that many of you are here. You read, you follow, you stay - even if you don’t comment or leave visible traces. And we don’t want to lose the chance to connect with you.
Have you ever felt the same way? Have you ever felt hesitant to speak, share, or show up - especially online?

If you feel like it, you can tell us. And if you prefer, you can also write to us privately. We truly mean it.
In a world that seems to divide itself a little more every day, we feel the need for our community - quietly, gently, and honestly.

This new blog post about Slow Family Photoshoots in Tuscany is also a way for us to start writing here again - a gentle excuse to reconnect, and to share once more the philosophy and values that have guided our work.
