As part of the Teachers’ Course, participants will have the unique opportunity to observe our Guest Faculty teaching students across a range of levels during the Summer School.
Beyond the daily observation, the course offers a diverse programme of predominantly practical sessions each day, focusing on:
• pedagogy
• the progression of training
• identification and correction of common faults
• study and revision of traditional Cecchetti class material
Designed as a valuable professional development experience, the course is suitable for both Cecchetti teachers and those trained in other methods.
It provides a collaborative environment in which participants can exchange ideas, ask questions, and gain insight from highly experienced professionals.
Course Faculty will include:
- Diane van Schoor (Former Ballet Principal of The Royal Ballet Lower School – White Lodge)
- Gillian Hurst (Lead ISTD Cecchetti Examiner, Faculty Member of MIBE and KS Dance)
- Vanessa Palmer (Former Soloist of The Royal Ballet, Repetiteur for the Ashton Foundation)
- David Yow (Senior Ballet Teacher at English National Ballet School)
