Do we need a wedding planner for our wedding in Italy?

The truth of the matter is, even if you think you don’t, ALL reputable venues will state “wedding planner obligatory” in their contract.

Why?; Wedding planning from overseas is no easy feat. You will have to find, coordinate and most importantly of all - make sure you are clear on pricing of every supplier you book.

You will spend hours sourcing a venue, communicating with lots of venues and sometimes not all of your questions are answered and you can be left with expensive surprises further down the line. This isn’t your fault! When you don’t know all of the questions to ask it’s easy to miss some key ones.

So the question “Do we need a wedding planner for our wedding in Italy?” really answers itself.

What happens when the weather doesn’t play nice at your Italian wedding?

Rule 1: ALWAYS make sure that your venue has a suitable plan “B”, if you plan to host your ceremony onsite as well, is 1 x plan “B” enough?
If you need to add a marquee, how much is that going to set you back? When you make enquiries with a potential venue there are so many questions to ask. This is why, without a shadow of a doubt, you should engage the services of a professional wedding planner - to make sure all of the correct questions are being asked and answered.
At the venue in this reel we did have indoor space but we always do our utmost to make the couple happy and their dream was an outdoor event!
One of the best things about Weddings in Tuscany by Imperial is that we have our very own in-house caterers so therefore I, Gillian, am able to take charge on the coordination and make all decisions on behalf of my couples.

Hi, I’m Gillian, originally from the UK, living and organising Weddings in Tuscany for more than 20 years.

Q; Should I be paying for information from a wedding planner before I have committed to their services?

A; No! Well, at least it’s a no from me!

Why?; So I’ve heard so many planners talk about how much work goes into finding the right venue for their couples and of course this is true BUT, personally over the last 23 years, little by little, I’ve already put that work in. That’s what makes me a great wedding planner.
