I was talking with about record stores we shopped at back in the early 90s, and we both mentioned “Numbers” on Fresh Pond Road in Middle Village, Queens. My friend Nicky “Father” Fingers worked there. I did a quick search for his name and his Discogs page came up. I clicked on the link and a few profile photos came up of Nicky. I swiped up through a few more and I came upon this photo. It’s almost fell out of my chair. I never knew this photo existed. I’m not even sure where it is. I do know this was at a rave during the hardcore era. Nicky has been gone almost 20 years. I’ll never forget these days. Nicky was a great dude. Can’t believe I stumbled upon this photo by accident. I’m so happy I did tho.

The trip to Paris has been fun, locating this record shop was even more fun. fr
Find the green metal door, on the right there’s a black doorbell panel with white lettering. Press that, push the door…they’ll unlock it. Walk towards the third court yard. It’s behind the white metal gate, where you first enter a gallery (and a small cafe).

Check out my track “Rhythmic Entity” on DJ Mark Harrison 2022 Oct and Now mix.

This was a difficult one. I found a half finished project on my laptop a week or so ago from around the middle of the year. I was dealing with a bout of mental ill health at the time as well as a few stresses of life. I wasnt in the best of shape. When I found this again though, I though I had to fi...
