The valley comes back this week. Shutters go up, the bar fills at seven again, and everyone who spent August at the sea returns to a place that has quietly been ripening the whole time they were gone. September light is lower and kinder than August light. Dinner outside still works. Nobody is hurrying yet.

This is the month couples ask for by name, and it earns it.

VENDEMMIA 2026

Saturday the nineteenth, the tables go out, and the harvest gets celebrated properly.

The Festa della Vendemmia is the one night of the year we stop picking long enough to sit down together. A traditional dinner at the cantina, our own wine on the table, and the grape stomping competition, which is exactly as undignified as it sounds and the reason half of you come back. It’s a time to be together that represents more than just the actual harvest. It’s a long standing tradition of community, celebration and a long table.

Saturday 19 September, 18:30 to 22:30, at the cantina at Buccelletti Casali & Cantina.
