SPIC MACAY is a voluntary movement that organizes events of classical music and dance, folk arts, crafts etc. in educational institutions.

The Society for the Promotion of Indian Classical Music And Culture Amongst Youth (SPIC MACAY) is a voluntary youth movement which promotes intangible aspects of Indian cultural heritage by promoting Indian classical music, classical dance, folk music, yoga, meditation, crafts and other aspects of Indian culture; it is a movement with chapters in over 300 towns all over the world.SPIC MACAY was es

tablished by Dr. Kiran Seth in 1977 at IIT Delhi. It seeks to foster the traditional Indian values and to generate awareness of the cultural traditions and heritage of India. In order to achieve its goals, SPICMACAY organizes concerts, lectures, demonstrations, workshops, informal discussions, and talks by eminent scholars and thinkers.

This Year, S**C MACAY NITW Chapter is proud to present a mesmerizing sitar performance by the talented sitarist Dhruv Bedi. Born in a family of musicians, Dhruv Bedi received his training in sitar from his father and renowned sitar and Surbahar artist, Sh. Jagdeep Singh Bedi.

Joining him on the tabla will be the accomplished Mohd Nizamuddin Quadri, hailing from a distinguished family of musicians and inspired by his famous classical vocalist father, Late Mohd Vazir.

Together, Dhruv Bedi and Mohd Nizamuddin Quadri are set to create magic on stage with their impeccable mastery over sitar and tabla, respectively. We invite all music enthusiasts to join us on March 30th, 2023, for an evening of soul-stirring melodies and unforgettable musical moments.

S**C MACAY (Society for the Promotion of Indian Classical Music And Culture Amongst Youth) is a voluntary movement founded in 1977 by Dr. Kiran Seth, a professor at IIT- Delhi. It is an internationally recognised organisation and has chapters in all the prominent schools and colleges of our country with a motive to promote the cultural art forms of India amongst the youth where students get to organize such events.

By inviting the most talented classical artists from across the nation to perform in our modest home, we hope to ignite respect and passion for our culture amongst the youth of our nation.

After giving one of the most successful event in the ALC ever, S**C MACAY NITW Student Chapter is organising a Carnatic music event, performed by the very talented Vidushi Amritha Murali.
Amritha Murali is an A graded artist of the All India Radio. She has cut many discs with the reputed classical music recording company Charsur Digital Work Station, Chennai. Being a highly talented musician of the younger generation, she has gained much acclaim and popularity. She's also the recipient of Ustad Bismillah Khan Yuva Purushkar.

The S**C MACAY NITW Student's Chapter is organising an evening “Shab-e-Sufiyana”, filled with the heart soothing qawwali performed by the very euphonic Warsi Brothers.

It's noteworthy that the Warsi brothers are the recipients of India's highest recognition to practicing artists, Sangeet Natak Akademi Purushkar. They have performed in many cities all over India and abroad.
