Founded by late Chandapillai Geevarghese in 1938, Karikkineth silks has become synonymous with quality retail shopping for apparels and textiles for all ages. The venture traces its roots to Kaippattoor in Pathanamthitta district where the first retail store was opened. In the late 90s, the young Thomas Karikkineth saw the opportunity in the widespread development of Thiruvalla town. The novel way

of display and shopping experience made Karikkineth a thumping success as it broke the conventions of textile retailing. Reasonable prices for high quality was the 'mantra' behind this runaway success. Establishing an all India network with weavers, mills and fashion houses, Karikkineth broke the price barrier that liberated the common folks to wear fashionable outfits at affordable prices.
