Much like TEDx’s new slogan, “Ideas Change Everything”, your ideas could help us have a truly game-changing event. Joining our team can teach you a lot, not to mention the endless amount of fun you're in for. From being glued to your keyboard, working on emails, to tracking down sponsors like a homicide detective, there's something for everyone.

So before the form closes on 31st January, make sure to put your best foot forward and volunteer for an event that is sure to explore new heights!

And here we have Suresh Eriyat, the multitalented animator director whose talk was filled with lessons and stories revolving around the importance of conversations in life. He told us amazing stories from his life and took us on a ride with his animations. We were extremely grateful to be graced by this truly inspiring personality.

Another talk was “Looking Through Comic Glasses’, a comedic take on life by writer Kyrunnisa. She gave us a glimpse into her mind and career, and her beautifully witty outlook shone through. Peppered with little quips that made our audience burst with laughter, her talk delved into the perception of her life and work - the happy little accidents, the challenges of doing what she does and her beloved fan following’s ideas of her writing. We loved having her here in all her glory, telling us about how we too can don the so-called ‘comedic glasses’ and enjoy our occasionally mundane lives to the fullest.

Susan Thomas, IRS, Commissioner of Income Tax and Ex Director of NIFT Bengaluru, took the audience by surprise with her heartwarming and hope-filled talk titled “Small but Significant.” She conveyed the message that small actions and measures, in other words, small ripples, can have huge reverberations. She made her case by sharing various initiatives she implemented at NIFT, Bengaluru. Another talk at TEDxIISERTVM was by Dr. C. Anandharamakrishnan, who dazzled our minds with the upcoming world of innovation. We were honoured to have him as one of our speakers, for he significantly added to the conversation around the developing world of just food technology, and how closely progress in science is tied to our own perspective of the world.

And here we have Dr. Tara Rajendran! The multi-talented person she is, she talked passionately about how one should embrace their creative outlets to navigate through the tough times one faces in their career, life or what not. She told us the importance of sticking to one's hobbies and not letting them get sidelined in the course of one's quest for success. We can surely say her talk reminded us of those ghungroos kept in a drawer or that guitar we haven't touched in ages. Her striking presence has left an impact on all our audience!

It’s been more than a month since the huge red X made ripples in our minds, and yet we remember every second like it was yesterday. Of course, it’s never too late to flex the first ever edition of TEDxIISERTVM!

Why travel around the world in 80 days when Anica Mann can take you on a delightful journey around the ancient world in less than 20 minutes with her immaculately crafted words and awe-inspiring presence! We were truly grateful to have her as one of the speakers for our event and we say this with immense confidence that her words, which not only caused ripples in the audience, also inspired us to run to our history books to look back on our past with a new perspective.
