A pro-fireworks article by Subbiah Rathinagiri
For those who think that fireworks are polluting the environment and to be banned:
Have you ever visited Sivakasi? At least on Google Maps?
This is not a computer printed circuit board. It is a cluster of fireworks factories near Sivakasi seen on Google Maps.
Can you see the number of trees around the working sheds of a typical fireworks unit? You can see such a scene invariably in all the fireworks factories in and aroound Sivakasi. You can see the dry surroundings. If you have a bird's eye view of Sivakasi, wherever you can see some green there you can spot a fireworks factory.
Every factory had planted at least 50 - 100 trees. There are around 700+ such factories in Sivakasi. Now do the math by yourselves. Consider the oxygen generated by these trees for the whole year.
Now also consider a cement factory which is emitting smoke for 24 x 365.
Do you know that fireworks factories are allowed to run from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. only? Do you know that power is not even allowed inside a fireworks factory?
Now a last simple question for you.
Have you ever decided to stop living in a cemented house because cement factories are polluting the environment for 24 x 365?
Now you can start thinking about banning fireworks for saving the environment which is used for 16 x 1.
