A heartfelt thank you to all the students, parents, teachers, and Club members who made today’s Painting Competition a resounding success! With 30 talented participants across both Junior and Senior categories, the rink was transformed into a canvas of creativity and winter nostalgia.

👥 Participants: Students from Shimla schools, in two age groups
🏆 Awards & Exhibition: Winning artworks will be honored and may be featured in our Winter Exhibition

🏅 Simla Ice Skating Club Triumphs at the 20th National Ice Skating Championship! ❄️⛸️

We are filled with pride as we announce that members of the Simla Ice Skating Club—representing Himachal Pradesh at the Championship held in Dehradun—secured an astounding 7 out of the 8 medals won by the state!

What makes this achievement even more remarkable? These athletes train for just two months a year, limited by weather conditions. And yet, their passion, perseverance, and raw talent propelled them to national glory.

💬 This accomplishment is a call to action.
We urge the State Government of Himachal Pradesh to recognize this extraordinary potential by upgrading our seasonal rink into an all-weather ice skating facility. Year-round training with top-tier coaching and infrastructure is essential to take this excellence to global heights.

On behalf of Excutive members os Simla ice skating club It was a pleasure to meet Shri Anupam Kashyap, IAS (Deputy Commissioner, Shimla and Patron, Simla Ice Skating Club)and Mrs Jyoti Rana (ADM)along with Shri Manpreet Singh Sembi, Shri Rajat Malhotra, Shri Chetan Sud, and Shri Dheeraj Bansal. During our interaction, we had the honor of extending a formal invitation to visit the historic Simla Ice Skating Club. We are delighted to share that Shri Kashyap graciously accepted the invitation and expressed his keen interest in visiting the club.

We look forward to welcoming him soon and showcasing the rich legacy and cultural significance that the club has contributed to Shimla over the decades.

Today, the **executive members of Simla Ice Skating Club** had the privilege of meeting **Deputy Commissioner Shimla, Shri Anupam Kashyap, IAS**, who has **graciously accepted** to be the **patron for the 2025-2026 season**.

His leadership and support will strengthen our efforts to promote ice skating and transform our rink into a **world-class all-weather facility**. We deeply appreciate his encouragement and look forward to working together to uphold the rich legacy of ice skating in Shimla.

The new executive committee of the Shimla Ice Skating Club has been formed. On Sunday, after the club's annual general meeting, voting took place for the position of president. In the elections for the president's post, Manpreet Singh Sembi secured victory with 96 votes, while Abhay Dogra came in second with 80 votes.

For the other positions in the Shimla Ice Skating Club, only one nomination was submitted for each, leading to the candidates being elected unopposed. Rajat Malhotra was elected as secretary, Pankaj Prabhakar as joint secretary, and Ramneek Goyal as treasurer—all unopposed.

Additionally, the executive committee members elected were Jaidev Sharma, Sudeep Mahajan, Chetan Sud, Arjun Kuthiala, and Pawan Verma.
