SPIC MACAY - Society for the Promotion of Indian Classical Music And Culture Amongst Youth is a non-political nationwide voluntary movement that organises programmes of classical music and dance, folk arts, crafts, yog, classic cinema screenings, heritage walks, etc. inside school and college campuses throughout the world to make students more aware about Indian and world heritage.

A big THANK YOU to Flute Maestro Padma Vibhushan Pandit Hari Prasad Chaurasia for the beautiful evening, special thanks to Pt. Ram Kumar Mishra on tabla and Vidushi Debopriya Chatterjee on flute for making it even more special .
It was an evening of pure musical joy and we were left heartfelt and transformed by the end of it. We witnessed Panditji's well known mastery with flute, and also his lightheartedness and wits, which made the event even more enjoyable.

There could not have been a better way of making IIT Ropar a part of S**C MACAY family 'Officially'.

The mesmerizing and enlightening Odissi Dance performance along with the history and art aptly narrated by none other than herself Vidushi Kavita Dwibedi, the widely renowned Odissi dancer and educator, will be long remembered in the hearts of the MP Hall audience present there that evening.
Be it Pallavi or the beautiful description of Vatsalya Rasa, every part of the performance was an incomparable experience.

Heartily thanks to co-artists Shri Manas Kumar Sarangi (Mardal), Shri Suresh Kumar Sethi (Vocal) and Shri Pritiranjan Swain (Flute) for the exquisite music.

Special thanks to the chief guests of the evening Mrs. Lila Poonawalla, Chairman-IIT Ropar, Mr. T. Ramasami, Indian Science & Technology Secretary and Prof. Javagal K Sridhar, Registrar IIT Ropar and to the whole IIT Ropar family.
