The Sakal Media Group conducted the Bookaroo for the second successive year in the city of Pune.
Pune, also know fondly as the Queen of Deccan, is one of the four cities where the event is held, in India. This year, the festival event saw 22 speakers from eight cities and three countries who came together for the same. As many as 62 sessions were conducted by these speakers and the kids had a gala time over the two days of January 31 and February 1, at the Pandit Farms.
Amongst the speakers were eminent personalities like Nandini Nayar, Mark Greenwood, Lakshmi Devaraj and Frane Lessac to name a few.
It was a versatile menu on offer for the kids as the sessions were ones that were carefully thought out and put together. Mark Greenwood entertained the kids with his session, 'The Stage', where he encouraged the kids to involve themselves on drums. Frane Lessac's story, 'Midnight' was a hit with the kids. Yet another absorbing and interesting session was the 'Animaginal' by Leela Gour Broome where the kids enjoyed predicting and articulating what kind of an animal each one was!
Aimed at creating an interest for creativity and art, the Bookaroo endeavours to create a platform for all kids where they can get an exposure to various forms of art and creativity. Books form an integral part of this activity and it made for a very interesting weekend of fun and cheer. Two days of excitement - listening to super stories, expressing oneself with drawings, special workshops, musical instrument sessions and more; the Bookaroo was a versatile weekend treat that the kids enjoyed whole heartedly.
We, at White Copper had as much fun managing the event and the delight and fun that abounds through the snaps made it even more special for us!

On their endeavour of connecting with their customers intrinsically, the Vastushodh group has been quite successful at doing that. For the fourth straight year, Anandsohala was conducted amongst much fanfare and was well recieved by the patrons.
Held at the Ganesh Kala Krida this year, AnandSohala is, has been rather, an evening of absolute entertainment. Usually featuring a popular act or artist, every care is taken to ensure that the home-buyers are given the red carpet treatment. Also, it is in this environment of festivity that the first buyer is awarded the keys to the new place.
For this edition, noted singer Avadhoot Gupte graced the occasion along with Janhavi Prabhu and Meghana Erande. The trio ensured that the patrons had a gala time and extending the now established tradition, the first flat owners of the Chakan site were felicitated along with the keys being handed over to them - with a round of wholesome cheer!
The event also endeavours to get the home buyers at one place so that the interaction amongst them is better and they get to spend quality time together, amongst family members and other residents; as a part of the Vastushodh projects family.
We at team White Copper have put a few pictures together, from the event - to bring out the cheer and good purpose of the event.

Amongst the particpating teams, the Dazzling Deuces and the Baseline Bombers made it to the final and the Dazzling Dueces emerged the winners of the third PTL edition!
As for the highlights of the tournament, Dattatray Dhanakawade, Mayor of Pune city inaugurated the tournament and an exhibition game was played between Leander Paes and Uksana Kalashnikova. "Indian tennis has more than come of age and along with the ITPL and the Champions League, the PTL is a great platform for Indian players", said Leander Paes, who spoke at the event.
It was a high action week at the Deccan Gymkhana where there were a lot of action packed contests, fought fiercely but fairly as well. Amongst the players last standing were Ankita Raina and Vijay Sundar who were the true and deserving winners in the women's and men's sections respectively.
We, at team White Copper, have bunched a few snaps to bring out the fun and action of the PTL!

The 7th Annual Vinod Doshi Festival concluded successfully with all the five plays generating a lot of excitement and whole hearted support from our patrons in Pune!
Held in Pune from February 23 to February 27, the Bal Gandharva auditorium was a hubbub of activity all through the week. Kasumal Sapno, a Rajasthani adaptation of William Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream opened proceedings for the festival. Ajit Singh Palawat and his team ensured that the play lived up to it's billing. This was followed by the wonderful C Sharp C Blunt, a play by German director Sophia Stepf featuring MD Pallavi as Shilpa, the most popular mobile phone application of 2013. It was extremely well received by the patrons. Talented director and actor Kiran Yadnyopavit's Aparadhi Sugandha was next in line and brought out the concept of truth through a series of complex events.
The festival reached a crescendo with Abhishek Majumdar's sublime Kaumudi where Kumud Mishra, Sandeep Shikhar, Gopal Dutt Tiwari and Shubrajyoti Barat played out the theme sublimely.
The parting act was delivered by the Indian film and theatre legend, Naseeruddin Shah and his Motley Theatre Group as they rendered 'Ismat Apa Ke Naam'. The International Super Kite Festival 2015 was a very engaging affair - and how!
After the super success of the International Kite Festival in Pune last year, The Sakal Media Group decided to extend the reach of the event this year. After careful thought and consideration, Goa was decided to be the venue, along with Pune for this year.
With the encouraging support of the Goa Toursim Development Corporation, the Goa leg of the event was successfully conducted and as a perfect extension of that, the event signed off with the second leg, at Moshi in Pune.
Laxmikant Parsekar, honorable Chief Minister, Goa, inaugurated the event at the sprawling Miramar Beach. The patrons caught on to the excitement from the word go and soon the Miramar section of the Goan sky was dotted with kites of all sizes, shapes and colours!
As many as 60 international kite fliers particpated in the event, hailing from 18 different countries.
Significantly and interestingly, some of the kites also symbolised the culture of the country the fliers represented and it was great to see expressive and even emotive, art, in terms of the kites.
The Goa leg, held on 24 January this year saw a standout crowd and the numbers swelled to thirty thousand people! It goes without saying that this blended perfectly with the culture of the Goans who like the easy and laidback life and enjoy it to the fullest.
The Pune leg was equally entertaining and the patrons racked up the number count to fifteen thousand people, at Moshi. The Pune crowd also enjoyed it and had, amongst them, Marathi film personalities who revved up the excitement quotient, just by their presence!
This is the second successive edition of the kite festival and the Sakal Media Group have innovatively ensured it's acceptance and popularity by conducting the same over two different cities this year.
Team White Copper along with Setu Advertising conceptualised and executed the event at Goa and Pune and we have put together a few pictures; to take you back to the fun and cheer of the 'International Super Kite Festival 2015'!

Vasantotsav 2015 was the perfect combination of music and melody!
Held at the Ramanbagh in Pune between 16-18 January, the event this year saw a star studded line up of elite music maestros.

The session was followed by the vocal session of Rahul Deshpande. The chief architect of the Vasantotsav and an artist par excellence. Rahul more than lived up to his billing; of being a super vocalist and rendered soulful and melodious songs.
There has been a lot of thought in terms of the subject matter of the event and the first day's sessions were ably followed up by percussion and Sufi ones. The Trilok Gurtu Ensemble regaled the audience with the eclectic mix of artists like Trilokji himself, Ravi Chari, Sanget Haldipur, Nitin Shankar and Nandesh Umap put together a classic percussion session; enjoyed wholehearetdly by the patrons.
