Nimisha Verma, born in Chandigarh in 1996, is more of an artwork than an artist. Over a year ago, she decided to leave her parental home with her elder brother, after their parents chose not to accept their career choices. They were left with absolutely nothing and wandered in search of a roof over their head for ninety six hours straight. Those ninety six hours of struggle will always remain unforgettable for Nimisha. Today, she works as a freelance model for fine arts/conceptualized shoots. She is a zealous traveller and has chosen travelling over pursuing a degree in college where she was unable to identify herself. It is her undaunted spirit and mettlesome personality, that has led her to become the valiant founder of 'The Home for Artists', a non profit organization that provides home for any and every artist. Her incentive was very simple: to make sure that when people like her wish to live lives on their own terms, going against their family's wishes, they aren't destitute of a roof like she was. Nimisha spoke at TEDx Bhilwara earlier this year. We at Dream, are utterly delighted to have her speak at the event. She is the only one just past being a literal teenager, but her story is extremely worth sharing. We introduce her with the same excitement that made the organisers jump out of their seats, when they received a humble acceptance from her behalf.
