Rules
This is a two round event that tests the participants skills of speech improvisation and attentiveness.
Round 1 – JAM
• This round is conducted group-wise. All participants are divided into 6-8 groups.
• Each participant starts speaking on a topic given on the spot. The participant continues until
someone else from the group "jams" him/her. Jamming can be done when a person fumbles,
goes off topic or repeats the contents or speaks a completely grammatically incorrect sentence.
The person who jams, starts speaking in turn.
• The decision whether the jamming of a particular person is correct or not, is up to the judges.
• This is continued for defined duration for each participant.
• Each participant is marked based on a transparent marking scheme, with negative marks for
being jammed.
• The participant with the maximum points in a group qualifies for the final round.
Round 2 – Film Parody
• Each participant is given a film sequence of definite duration beforehand for preparation of a
parody. The sequence given is mute that is the audio has been removed.
• He/She has to prepare a parody of the sequence by inserting dialogues and any other audible
feature or expression that is entertaining and grasps the attention of the audience and the judges.
• Each participant is marked for his/her performance. The 1 chosen best by the judges and
audience is declared winner.
