A combination of LPG shortage and aviation challenges is impacting everything from catering to destination weddings - right in the middle of peak season.

Catering operations are struggling due to lack of cooking gas.
Events are being postponed or cancelled.
Rising travel costs and flight disruptions are affecting destination weddings.
Over 3 lakh livelihoods linked to the event ecosystem are at risk.

Amid this, the Event Management Association of Kerala has stepped in, urging urgent government intervention to stabilize LPG supply and support the sector.
They have also highlighted the wider economic impact, stressing that prolonged disruption could severely affect thousands of businesses and jobs.

This isn’t just a supply issue - it’s a reminder of how deeply interconnected logistics, energy, travel, and events truly are.

Sustainability in Weddings - A Thoughtful Beginning

A few years ago, we began asking an important question:
How can weddings in Kerala become more sustainable?

One of the biggest challenges was replacing the commonly used floral oasis foam, which is widely used in floral arrangements but is not environmentally friendly.

Our solution? Banana stems.
A natural, locally available alternative in Kerala that beautifully supports fresh flowers while reducing waste.

But sustainability goes beyond décor. In this celebration, we also focused on:
Using banana stems instead of floral foam for arrangements
Coir Carpets
Choosing steel glasses instead of disposable cups
Using eco-friendly carpets for event setups
Implementing food waste management systems
Reducing the overall carbon footprint of the wedding

Every small step can make a big difference.

Because celebrations should create memories - not waste.
