Our vision for the Shetty–Tolani wedding was clear: transform the Fairmont Mumbai into an entirely immersive wedding universe. With a full property buyout, every corner of the hotel became part of the celebration — a three-day experience reimagined through design, planning, flow, and storytelling.

The journey began with a nostalgic Malgudi Days–inspired welcome in the lobby, setting the tone with warmth, live music, and handcrafted details. By nightfall, the Sangeet unveiled an entirely different world — the Orient Express, recreated with layered elements, performers, and a concert-style energy. Hours later, the same venue shifted again into a serene South Indian Muhurtha brought alive with Mudra dancers and the rhythmic chenda melam, and an intimate Sufi darbar led by Bismil for the evening. On the final morning, this opened into a serene Thai-inspired spa brunch designed for slow conversations, wellness rituals, and relaxed post-wedding unwinding.

Across the hotel, curated lounges, wellness and beauty suites, all-day hospitality, and personalised in-room experiences ensured the celebration never paused — every guest touchpoint crafted with intention.

This wedding was a testament to vision, scale, and seamless collaboration — a DreamzKrraft production elevated through the support of the Fairmont team, turning an entire hotel into a multi-world experience.

This serene Muhurtha opened with Mudra dancers poised on pedestals, moving gracefully through classical forms draped in the epitome of South Indian white and gold. Living sculptures that set a reverent tone, rooted and deeply traditional.

From there, the space unfolded gently. Inspired by the Artisans of India, the textiles featured intricate embroidery with crafted panels and a hand-painted backdrop that added depth to the ballroom. To soften the palette, Thai-inspired florals were flown in specially for the ceremony, sculptural blooms tucked thoughtfully through the décor, adding lightness and refinement to the earthy whites and golds. Chenda melam drums marked the groom’s entry, accompanied by the women carrying aarti thalis, a moment that echoed with heritage and emotion, setting the perfect cadence for the wedding ahead.

This Sangeet was a story of how they met.
Two bags. One train. A mix-up that changed everything.

The Orient Express Sangeet unfolded like a beautifully staged voyage. Timetables flickered across screens, tickets arrived at doors, and guests checked in at a live counter as artists stamped entries like an old-world station.

Inside, the ballroom transformed into a vintage world. The setting was entrenched in deep maroons, rich browns, and old gold tones set against glossy finishes. No stone was left unturned. Lounges styled as train coaches. Round carriage lamps lining the walls. Trunks layered through every corner, from entrances to seating to artist stages. A life-sized train in the pre-function area, and a main stage locomotive with LED windows playing station visuals to simulate movement. Even the lighting moved like a journey, with kinetic fixtures rising and falling overhead.

We opened the evening with a 20-minute act as station masters, conductors, dancers, and ballerinas became characters of a well-written musical. The powerhouses Vishal-Shekhar followed up with a full-blown concert, before DJ Ganesh carried the after-party into the early hours.

It wasn’t just a theme. It was production at scale. A world imagined, built, and brought to life. Not just a train ride, but the beginning of their story.

The reception dinner was framed by thoughtful design and details throughout.

Warm lighting, rich textures, and jewel-toned accents created a space that felt expansive yet intimate — inviting guests to move, pause, and take it all in. Adding to the evening were thoughtfully curated culinary experiences. Chef Kenneth brought the spirit of Singaporean cuisine to the table, blending bold flavours with refined technique, while Sarposh offered a journey through Kashmiri wazwan — slow-cooked, soulful, and deeply rooted in tradition. A night where ambience and cuisine shared equal attention!

As guests arrived, elegant Kathak and Indo-fusion performances set the rhythm for the evening, followed by the powerful resonance of the Bombay Choir, carrying the momentum seamlessly through the night.

With Salil & Lincia shaping the pace and DJ Ganesh leading the final stretch, the celebration unfolded at scale — rich in atmosphere, elevated in energy, and unforgettable in every sense.
